Going to sound odd but I need a good pair of boots.... for pizza.
Between the 60 hour weeks on my feet making and delivering pizzas in NY (rain, mud, deep snow), I beat on boots pretty hard.
General labor boots I use some steel toed red wings that are at least 6 years old and take a beating. Good for nights I am in the shop all night, great for standing, but too heavy for running stairs delivering. So I switch to a duty boot for those nights.
The problem is that I wear out Magnum boots in 9-10 months, or I get about a year out of a pair of Bates. All of them suffer the same fate. General breaking down around the bend in the toes: cracking, dry rot, and separation of the upper from the sole.
So I am looking for any suggestions for a 6" or 8" boot that can take getting wet, comfy for standing, and will hold up. Prefer a flatter sole (nothing high heeled like a logger boot).
