Re: Boy rapes Gma
I don't know if it's still there but used to be a bar/restaurant on FL 17 west off US301 from Starke, FL. It was owned by the first female prison guard in FL at the state pen. there IIRC. The original pen. is right down the road in Raiford.
It's a steel building, but off the road the front is actually an old wooden cracker house that attaches. It is a museum of sorts. She had it stocked with memorabilia but mostly all kinds of blades taken off prisoners.
Back when prisoners were convicts they used to wear bloused boots apparently. And they were able to carry (in the bloused pant leg) what she told me was the only one in existence that she knew had ever been confiscated.
It was a flat piece of rectangular steel. It had a shank coming off wrapped in string for a handle. The rest was essentially a cleaver. The purpose was to castrate child molesters and rapists. According to the lady, back then, they didn't survive prison. I guess the general feeling in those days was that even if you were in prison, you had a mom, or a sister, or a wife, or a daughter and those boys just weren't worth letting live. I guess they didn't bother to investigate what happened to those folks too hard either.
