Really enjoyed the 600 yard match out at Bayou Rifle. Feel pretty good about the results for a first timer, at least I shot consistently.

176-1
178-1
177-4

Now I see more money spending, the fixed 10 SS SWFA was clear, but think it would be beneficial to have a variable power. And toss the caldwell rear bag!!!! Now I have a monthly meeting at Bayou Rifle. Thanks again to Deny and Bayou Rifle for putting on the introduction to F-Class and wind calling a month or so ago. Felt like a experienced competitor already w/ pulling targets.

Congrats on your first match! I think you did well your first time out and you'll surely improve with more experience. I think you'll find having a scope with more mag will help significantly in that process, both in terms of holds and shot calling. It sounds like you're hooked - good luck in your future matches!

Well CGGunnersm8, I'm glad you enjoyed yourself and congratulations on coming out and playing. You (and others like you) are the reason we put that class together; we wanted to let people have a chance to see the workings of a match and what's expected of them so they can have a good time and not worry about the first time out.

We designed the syllabus as something we would have liked to have available to us when we first started. It seems we have achieved that goal and for that I am pleased.

Now that we have the concept down, we will probably do this at least every year, but that will be up to the next MD as this is my final year as match director.

Caldwell rear bags suck indeed, make sure to follow through, your point will go up instantly, I went from an average of 189 to 195 by following through.
keep on eye on the flags and write everything down.
Cheers.
