Has anybody used this. How does it compare to a Kestrel??? Reason being I just ordered one and have never really used this type of thing. Trying to get real time data to make 1500 + shots.

I used to use one before getting the 4500NV Kestrel. The Kestrel is a better piece of kit in all. Don't get me wrong, the Brunton works, but I prefer the overall fit, feel, and operation of the Kestrel. I'll look at the Brunton again when I get home, but I seem to remember something weird about the on-off function as well.

I paid 150$ for it and with my ballistic apps bring very accurate as far as dope, do you think this will benefit me in elr shooting in terms of "accurate " atmospheric conditions. I mean at 1500 to 1 mile if there is even a slight drop in barometric pressure it could throw me off. Is it fairly accurate at reading environmental conditions?? Ex .. Density altitude , density air.. ECT
