Budget AR15

@Primus is correct. Like the delivery or not.

Btw, a NiB bolt was mention earlier.... dont bother, unless you like to sheer lugs.

Colt 6920 or 6720 is your baseline minimum for a serious use rifle.
Other good options if you want to move up include BCM, SOLGW, Sionics, LMT, DD or the best system on the market - KAC (but comes at a cost).

I own all of them, some multiple, except LMT and KAC. I buy firearms with the mindset that my grandchildren may need these one day and will not be able to buy them. The gun is the cheap part if your shooting/training enough to be proficient.

Aaaallllll that being said.... i would kinda sorta rather a guy buy a hobby grade rifle and take a vetted training class vs a quality rifle and not train or shoot it...

Something you should consider is the PSA Premium / CHF upper. They do runs of uppers with FN hammer-forged barrels, Geisselle gas blocks (pinned to barrel) and Geisselle free-float rail.

These uppers sell for $499 without a BCG. You can get an assembed lower with basic Magpul furniture for around $120 and a BCG for about $80-$100.

Grab 10 PMAG 30s at $7.99 each when they have a coupon-code (they do frequently) and your complete rifle with mags is right at $800.

This will be a solid rifle with a high-quality barrel.

For an optic I'd look at a Vortex Sparc AR. Compact, durable, daylight bright and runs on a single AA battery....not a hard-to-find lithium. My only complaint for the Sparc is the stupid lens caps but that is minor.
