Bulletseeker Mach 4 doppler chrono

They told me that they do see issues when a phone or other device is in front/near the BS. I've not been able to reproduce it regularly. I had mine on yesterday walking around the shop pointing it at anything electrical and it never had a reading. The only time it showed a reading is when I was walking into the shop and pulled it out of my pocket along with my phone. I tried numerous times to get it to do it again and never did.

Hmm interesting ya mine seems to really do it the most either right after charging it or when it's close to dieing it's almost like there needs to be a sensitivity setting that you can adjust based on detections or something

....one possible thing to try before connecting wirelessly to the BulletSeeker device is to reboot your Android device into Safe Mode and select the option to "Wipe Cache Partition" then reboot device. It can't hurt and may actually improve your connection. Also, when connecting to your BS device, eliminate all other connections that may be running, i.e., wi-fi, etc.

Had nothing but problems with mine from the start and zero support from the dealer here in Australia and not much useful information back from the manufacturer. I have tried over 80 shots all in different positions (non muzzle braked rifle) to get this to read and only ever had 4-5 readings. Frustrated at myself for purchasing this before seeing more feedback and testing. I'll advertise this and it might be right for someone who has the time to stuff around for hours to get it to work but I don't have the time nor barrel life to do this.

Greg where are you mounting it at? I've had good luck with mounting on the dovetail spigot on my mpa chassis
Running it on a GRS stocked rifle and have tried taping it to the stock on the bottom and side with no luck. I have tried sitting it on a stand below the barrel and below the stock. Also off to the side at various positions from the muzzle with no luck.

Mine works best at 9 or 3 on rails. I can switch from rifle to rifle and it reads great

So I took my bs4 out again and before I did I tried what tenerio was talking about. I rebooted my tablet in safe mode cleared the cache on bs app deleted then reinstalled got out of safe mode then went to the range and I tried it in airplane mode but with Bluetooth on and it worked excellent. I had 0 issues and it was on and connected the entire 3 hours. Hopefully the next trip will work out the same lol

I've run mine with and without the parabolic adapter and have yet to see a difference. It may make a difference when I shoot the 300 PRC with a whole lot more powder and brake where it needs to 'read' through the muzzle cloud but we'll see.

....most smartphones are basically small computers and one of the methods used to "enhance speed of operations" is to cache data in memory and/or data storage (internal or extenal). This cached data remains in memory for faster retrieval until it is needed, overwritten with new or deleted. The cached data "may" be automatically deleted by a pre-set parameter once a certain fill % is reached and a running app needs the memory....some phone OS's allow you to manipulate that parameter, some don't and some allow you to clear it (sort of) via the settings menu, but it isn't as complete as when done in safe mode.

...glad the tip worked for you.

I picked one up here In Aus not long ago, printed myself a canted picatinny to intersect the bullet path about 15-20cm past the muzzle, BS4 is mounted about 50-60cm back from muzzle, went from no hits to perfect readings on the .22, will do the same thing for the 6.5mm. So far so good!

I was in contact with longseeker at the beginning of January Klara sent me a new one. Also I've had great luck now but doing the safe mode restart and clearing the cache and then I just put my tablet in airplane mode and then connecting Bluetooth

Well.....I was finally bitten by the BS4 bad luck. Yesterday at the range I turned it on and the green light came on immediately. It would not connect to the device and would not turn off. 24 hours later the green light is still on and the BS4 cannot be turned off or used. Anyone have any suggestions? Anyone know if there is a hard turn off procedure or some way to reset the BS4? It worked as advertised for 4 months and then went off the rails yesterday.

Leave till battery dies and when you recharge it and turn it on again it will probably work like nothing happened again, happened to me once ,i couldnt turn it off.

Just a quick update to my last post. The BS4 has now been on since Saturday morning 2/11/23, 4 days ago, and it is still frozen up, will not turn off, and the green light is still on. Wonder how long this thing will take to drain the battery. I haven't seen a device in years that does not have a reset button or a force power down feature, but these don't have it. You just have to wait it out.

On another note, I can't get any response from Bulletseeker. Even Klara, who is usually very responsive, has gone silent. Makes me wonder if they are having longevity problems ....

NFshooter150, I know you have probably done more troubleshooting with the BS4 than anyone in the U.S. and probably know more about how to get them running than anyone around, so I will listen to your advice with great interest. When I plug it in, it doesn't do anything. I've tried connecting it to a laptop as well, no joy there. I tried shooting over it to see if that "wakes it up," with no change. I have tried several other things with no change. Nothing I have tried helps. Obviously, the battery will die eventually. I just don't know how long that will take. The only thing draining the battery right now appears to be the little green light. I have a rechargeable bluetooth computer mouse that can run for a month on one charge. I suppose if a mouse can run that long on one charge, a little green light can burn for a long time if it is the only draw on the battery. Who knows.

P.S. I just tried to go to both bulletseeker.com and longseeker.com. Neither one of these domains are functioning anymore, at least not right now. Makes one wonder.......

They replied to my email just a couple days ago so, if they're gone, it'd have to be real recent.

When mine got stuck on the light it took 24 hours for it to die. That's interesting yours is taking so long. Once it cleared I've been good to go.

Someone needs to give them a marketing 101 class. You can rebrand, but you need redirect the old stuff to the new stuff. Don’t abandon domain names.

Things are very strange at the moment . I have had a bulletseeker since september last year . I was very happy with it . I had shot over 20 strings of 12-20 shots and only missed 2 shots . Much better than my ladradar.

3 weeks ago I received an email from bulletseeker.com.au the australian distributer saying there were problems with the early units and they were exchanging those . I organised the exchange without issues but now the new unit does not work . I have only recorded 2 out of 80 shots using 4 calibres from 6 Creedmoor to 308 . The unit is used on a picatinny close to the end of the barrel , exactly the same way as the old unit.

I contacted bulletseeker.com.au and no response . I used the forum on bulletseeker.com and had no response . As noted above that domain has now disappeared. I tried the new forum mentioned above but cannot login and says my email is not registered although I have used the forum several times .

I get this feeling I am going to be left with an expensive mistake

Good for you, I am struggling to get some teply from them since ten days and btw. the email [email protected], which suppose to be the freshest contact available according their new webpage does not work. They even send back my payment... To me this not the way how to sell premium products.

So try emailing [email protected] and [email protected]. to spuzzcat I am not sure if you have been able to get it charged but I had to find an old little USB brick at is 1amp to get it to charge and I plug it in and then press the button and then it turns red. I'm pretty confident Klara will respond. Hopefully you get it figured out and worst case hopefully the get you a replacement

The battery finally ran down yesterday and I recharged it and connected it to my phone. It seems to be working okay. I'll get it to the range tomorrow to verify. Fingers crossed.🤞

I'm not sure what's going on but it looks like they have shut everything down.. can't find websites or social pages.. wtf this is really sad news cause I think the bs4 is a great product just needs a solid team that can fix the kinks but now I'm not sure what's gonna happen

Ran the BS4 today after the great reset and everything ran well again. I also have an Andi-Scan and ran them together for the first time to compare results on the same shots. AS was a few fps slower than BS4 but very consistent results with each other. 2990 compared to 2986 on the shot shown in the pic.

Can someone tell me what the Profile is for in the Bulletseeker App? I see that on Strings you pretty much enter all the same information and not sure how profile is attached to anything. Hoping it works well - reading through these threads seems like lots of issues - Im on an iPhone and the connection is pretty good, even have it set to turn off after app is closed and that worked great. Serial # is 989.

So the way I use the profile is I created one for my bolt gun 223ai brux and then all the strings I have stay with that profile then if you have another gun you want to use create a new profile foe that gun and all those strings will stay with it. I found turning my device in airplane mode then connected Bluetooth to bs4 worked the best

So my App updated yesterday indicating there is a new product version coming out the end of the month, great. But I am begining to regret my purchase of a product that the company apparently has no intent of upgrading firmware.

I wonder if it’s just a language issue and maybe it’s a new parabolic adaptor or the articulating mount?

Hello from France
Apparently the problem was with the word « Bullet ».

Coming in 2023 there will be new improved options for speed tracking products. The high tech product that you have loved in 2022 is now named SPEEDTRACKER. Turns out that couriers and customs officials don't really like the word "bullet", so this makes things simpler for everyone!

I have to say that my device with the parabolic adaptor has worked both indoors and outdoors on two suppressed rifles - a 22LR and a 6.5x47. Both worked best when mounted on the spigot mount (arca side down with an arca to picatinny adapter) of my MPA chassis. The 6.5x47 worked the same inside and outside. For the 22LR, I had to move it back and at an angle (so it doesnt block the optic) to the night vision bridge. No connectivity issues on my iPhone and the unit performed as advertised. I have serial number #959. Also have to point out that tech support was very responsive to questions I had. However, I would encourage anyone having issues or thinking about getting this unit to watch the technical seminar that answers a lot of questions. Placement is key with this device, but I could say the same for my Labradar and the form factor is fantastic.

So I had solved my issue with no replies from Bulletseeker producer very simply. I used my law right and stepped of from my order and gave the unit back. The last thing I want in case of service or technical issue to have non responsive producer...
