Tell me who set that up for you... If your wife did that then i am extremely jealous... Please tell me you propped that up yourself.Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year ..... I guess it should be "Happy New Year" 2020View attachment 7213153
My wife has this obsession every Christmas to do her tree. She has a different theme every year. I just took advantage of the background and added the rifle ... LOLTell me who set that up for you... If your wife did that then i am extremely jealous... Please tell me you propped that up yourself.
What action are you going to use?Im purchasing a lite strike chassis. Is it designed to house a action with a built in 20 moa rail or do i need to drop down to the lite competition that has the open top?
This is correct the Deviant will only fit in our competition series and Strike Nuke Evo.I believe the Defiance Deviant tactical has in integral top rail, I don't think it will work with the Lite Strike as it is meant to use the rail that is built into the chassis. I think you need the Lite Comp chassis. I would email Cadex directly, they always answer back quickly and have good info unlike some Cadex venders I talked to that didn't know if my Bighorn would work and suggested I buy a Stiller, lol.
Anyone know what the msrp on the new Cadex CDX-R7 CRBN hunting rifle in the US? That is exactly what I’m looking for.
I’m just doing a build with a Deadline LA in 300PRC in a Cadex Remington 700 LA Lite Competition Chassis. I had to shorten the top rail slightly to clear the forend and have the mag release shortened by 0.075” due to the larger bolt diameter. So a few questions...First does anyone run a ultimatum deadline action in their Cadex chassis or know if they offer a chassis to accommodate? What are the main differences between the lite strike and lite competition? Thinking about starting a 6.5 PRC build
The MSRP on the new CDX-R7 CRBN with a 26" proof barrel in 338 lapua will be $3599.95. If you want to go with a stainless fluted barrel in 338 you are look at $2799.95 MSRP.Anyone know what the msrp on the new Cadex CDX-R7 CRBN hunting rifle in the US? That is exactly what I’m looking for.
Wow that thing looks great. I did pick up a deadline with the mag boltface for 6.5PRC. I thought I was just going to go with MDT until I saw/read your post, now I got things to think about. I have an MDT ESS and LSS XL on some factory rifles. They make a really good product. For the Deadline I wanted to to step it up a notch. The fit and finish on the Cadex is top notch. You won’t be disappointed with either option for the chassis. As for the Deadline, I orderd the barreled action. Just starting to break it in but I’m loving the action.Wow that thing looks great. I would email Cadex directly for a quick reply, they do watch this forum but not everyday.I'm running the Lite Competition folder + skeleton with a Tikka T3X and have a few questions for the Cadex rep:
I was wondering if it's possible to swap the Lite Comp forend out in favor of the Lite Strike forend only and if they are interchangeable? I like the continuous rail option but cannot afford to buy another full chassis. Are the mounting points for the Lite Comp and Lite Strike forends the same? And if they are, would Cadex allow the purchase of just the Lite Strike forend with rail? Couldn't find the individual parts anywhere.
Also, are there any mag inserts to allow the use of the T3x CTR magazine instead of the AI style? I can't stand AI magazines and would love to run the DSDF mags the CTR came with. Also couldn't find a place to buy the inserts separately.
Thanks,
There are a couple of holes in the butt pad that will have hex screws in them that need to be removed to add the spacer.Scored a field comp for the tikka...For the life of me I can’t figure out how to take the butt pad off to add a spacer. What am I missing?!

I finally found them. Man the holes are completely invisible until you poke at them. I appreciate the response! There are a couple of holes in the butt pad that will have hex screws in them that need to be removed to add the spacer.
Let me know if you need the spacer. I have a couple of extras I'm not going to use. I'll send you one if you can use it. PM me your info and I'll get it in the mail.I finally found them. Man the holes are completely invisible until you poke at them. I appreciate the response!
Shove an allen head into the rubber (there are holes in it which you have to kinda find) forgot the size of allen, but try a 5/32 or the next size up. It's probably metric. I just took my entire chassis apart this weekend for cerakote and it took me a few minutes.Scored a field comp for the tikka...For the life of me I can’t figure out how to take the butt pad off to add a spacer. Where did you get that bag-rider? And will that MPA grip fit out of the box? Rifle is sick dude. Finally finished my build. Cadex Lite Competition Chassis, Ulitmatum Deadline Action, International Barrels 26” 300 PRC 1:8, NF ATACR 5-25 x 56 Scope, Spuhr Mount, Triggertech Diamond Trigger, Cadex Falcon Bipod, Cadex MX1 Brake, MDT Vertical Grip, GRS Bag Rider. MDT 300WM 3.850 CIP Mag. MDT M-LOK Weighs.View attachment 7239317
The bag rider is from GRS Riflestocks and the grip is an MDT. The grip bolted right on and is adjustable for length of pull to the trigger.Where did you get that bag-rider? And will that MPA grip fit out of the box? Rifle is sick dude.
I like it! Kinda looks like AI's dark earth. Well done ?I posted in this thread when my Cadex chassis was FDE. I spent all weekend re-barreling my Tikka T3x with a Proof carbon, so I decided to give her a makeover. Not sure I like the color yet, since it was much lighter in the bottle, but maybe it'll grow on me. Man there are a lot of pins and parts in the folding mechanism to take apart. Had to "salad bowl" the entire thing but I managed. No spare screws or pins left so I think she's good.
Just make sure he sends the barreled action to whoever does the new barrel. Cadex's recoil lug seconds as a "headspacer". They have different numbers on them based on when the original factory Smith does the head spacing.Another member asked me about non-kraken (regular cdx) barrel replacement. Nothing special is it? Like anyone other rifle. I told him to maintain the factory barrel for whomever he chooses to go by, but is there something different requiring him to buy barrels direct? I figure LRI could spin him one up off the factory take off and just measure headspace after.

It’s a barrel nut prefit from solid accuracy. I’m way too impatient to wait more than 2 weeks for a barrel lol. It’s stupid accurate. This paper was standing off from the backer so the hole looks bigger than it is. Zoom in and look at the hole in the backer. I measured it around 0.2.That looks sweet. Who did the barreled action for you?
im so up in the air should I do a build (like a Defiance action with Bartelin barrel) or just buy a whole rifle from Cadex and call it’s day.
The barreled action is from Ulitmatum Precision. It is their Deadline Action. They use International Barrels and this one is a 26” 300 PRC 1:8 twist. That looks sweet. Who did the barreled action for you?

look at the Cadex Store on their website. It lists the action options that will work with each chassis on the pull down menu when you go through the order options.OK so I’m pulling my hair out, getting ready to do a 300 PRC build and of course I want another Cadex field tactical chassis with the built-in rail on top, that drastically limits the selection of actions, can’t do the Big Horn TL3, can’t do any of the defiant, any other suggestions?

Unfortunately I don't know much about Stiller actions. Looking at the website I would think that the Tac 300 would make more sense as a 300 PRC in a Cadex Chassis. The CIP length mag is an option on the pull down from Cadex but I would confirm with Stiller that the mag opening can accept that length.Dude I never saw that. Thank you. Do you have any idea what the differences between all of the Stiller actions? I know I need long action but want to make sure it’s CIP length also. There’s a stiller predator #6-48. Also a stiller Tac300 etc etc.
That black block on the right in the photo?Does anyone know what the plastic insert piece is on top of the Competition Forend? There was nothing about it in the manual that came with the chassis.

The black block on the right is an MDT M-Loc Weight. The plastic insert I’m wondering about is right in front of the Picatinny Rail. That black block on the right in the photo?
