So I found the time to do a new .300 WSM build for myself for a change.
Multicam stencils, I was about to do the usual "earthtones"...(multicam bright green, coyote tan, desert verde, etc)

Then I'm thinkin'...it's a LR target stick- why not something a bit on the wild side for a change?
I've done some pink AR shit for a local pawn shop that builds/sells them- but that's about it.

Pinks, purples, reds- maybe I'm nuts and would hate it when it's done; nothing that couldn't be blasted off and redone- but spending a day redoing a camo job isn't exactly fun. I'm pretty good with coordinating the usual earthtones, but not a clue as to what might look good on the "extreme" end.

Anyone done this? Color suggestions- pics? Show 'em off!

Do you have a stencil cutter with software? I usually mock it up on the computer to see what different colors look like in the pattern. It’s a little tougher to do with color fades. I’ve done some non-traditional colors with digital camo and Damascus but not multicam.

I did a bright sponge "camo" at someones request for a Prairie dog gun.
He loves it lol, thats all that matters I suppose.

Yep, nothing serious. Recent Cricut cutter, downloading files from Etsy (found a few good ones)- no ability to display color mock-ups tho.
Got tired of paying a fortune for the commercial stencils, it's paid for itself already after a few jobs.

Just lookin' for some ideas. Wife's watching "Masked Singer" and just saw a giant chili pepper costume- bright ass green and candy apple red- might be an idea.

Just wondering what others might've done that they'd like to show off on that theme.

Here are a couple of non-traditional jobs I’ve done. The first I call Koi-moflage. The second one is a Copper State camo.

I cerakote for a living (Certified), so yes. Done it and do it daily. To include uv sensitive colors, Metallics, custom colors…

The orange pistol is simple. Done it a million times in every color you can think of!

Happy to help if you have specific questions.

Love the orange pistol, any more info on how to get something like that done?
I think those were from Cajun Gunworks or someplace similar. Can’t remember where I found them.

I would also have full confidence that Custom Gun Coatings could get you hooked up with a similar pattern if you showed them what you were looking for.

I wouldnt mind doing something like this tbh lmao View attachment 7762044
I thought the same thing lol

Turns out that company is run by a sketchy dude though, I barely got my rifle back after 5 months after lots of phone calls. There's a whole thread dedicated to people who's firearms are being held hostage there..

    Otherwise, rifle looks great!

Looks sick man! Yeah I hadn't seen them post anything for a long time and then seen the owner went AWOL and has been giving people the run around.

    Great ideas, gentlemen- thanks.
Debating whether to go "all-in" on bright/loud- or keep it toned-down a bit overall with a bright accent color to set it off.
Thinking it probably makes sense to invest the time to do some small mock-ups on sheet metal.

Definitely some nice looking work above.

I've been getting more inquiries on some of the wilder, louder color options for some PRS type competition rifles, and been working with one of my customers on some color options. I did the AI ATX with the Orange/Gray/Black scheme posted by @just browsing . I know I have some more projects in the pipeline that are going to have some bright colors, and wild schemes, and i'm looking forward to doing them.

No reason not to do bright, or loud colors and a wild pattern. Do something unique, that's the point of customizing the paint, so you have something someone else doesn't have, and something that's fun.
