I was thinking about getting a SilencerCo Harvester to use on my precision rifles, a 20" Barrel 6.5 creedmoor bolt action and DPMS GII 308. When I contacted my class III dealer he advised me to look at other cans. He said, "he had a .5MOA rifle that opened up to 4MOA with the harvester attached" - come to find out, he was testing it on a 12.5" Barrel AR-10...so, needless to say I'm skeptical of his recommendation. The Harvester was never designed to be used on a .308 SBR.

I haven't really heard anything bad about the harvester until his comment. Can anyone provide some feedback on accuracy of the harvester or its POI shift? I like to research potential NFA purchases to the N'th degree so I don't wind-up with a lot of time and money invested in a dud.

Any information would be appreciated. :D

I cant speak yet, as I am waiting on mine, but from what I have heard, he is the only one who has seen that large of a accuracy change. Several people, top scoring people, used them in the GAP/Bushnell brawl if I am not mistaken.

I have one on order. Silencerco literature says that it is not recommended for semi auto use, Silencerco customer service says semi auto is "ok, if you don't mag dump. Shoot it with a few seconds between rounds and it will run fine" on my new DPMS GenII Hunter. I am anxiously awaiting it's arrival. Specwar 7.62 had minimal shify in POI on same rifle. The new GenII is pretty damn sweet!
