Ordered a new Krieger barrel from CLE to replace the original 24" barrel in my Olympic Arms Ultramatch AR-15 I purchased new in 1992. She stopped a lot of hearts and made it over 16K rounds of 52-55 grain HP's and V-max's.

22", 1:7.7T, CLE chamber, .936 gasblock area, 5/8x24 threads, DuraCoat black, Superlative adjustable gasblock.

Paul at Compass Lake Engineering was great to deal with. (y)

They send out top notch stuff! You got a lot of years out of your last one.
Based on my research they do a good job and Paul was a pleasure to talk with.

95% of the gun's usage was in this type of environment. It has served me well and changed the perspective of my friends were shooting smith built custom bolt guns. Our basic group of 5 has been shooting together every year since 1990.

When I bought it in '92 I never expected the AR aftermarket to boom like it has. It just seemed like the right tool for the job, quick follow up shots and no fancy wood stocks to worry about scratching.

Looking forward to having a single point cut barrel in 7.7 twist. Hopefully it likes my current inventory of 55g V-max. If not I'll try the 60's for varmint and 69SMK's for range work.
