I personally own a J Allen Enterprise chassis for my 6.5 CM. I love it and it is VERY nice to look at. I don't see a lot of people run them however. Is it because of the price or am I missing something? I doubt I will ever change to anything else, but I am just curious.

KRG Habu is discontinued and was only offered for a short time; a very limited supply made with exotic materials. delta_tactical's instagram has posted one recently

If I could afford the $1,900 for a JAE Chassis I would have one on my gun, but unfortunately that's not really in the cards for me right now (especially when I could build another complete rifle sans optics on another XLR for about $2,100 all-in that would be similar to my current build). I like the feel, weight, and features of the chassis but it doesn't offer $1,300 worth of value to me over the XLR.

I'll second the price of the JAE. I've had an MPA, and am now running KRG (X Ray and Whiskey 3) chassis on my rifles and am very satisfied with them.

I really like the JAE and they are quite pleasing to look at. I'm sure if I were to run one for a match I would fall in love with it and that would cost me a big chunk of change, which is why I stick to the cheaper ones!

The trick is to find a used one at a good price. I managed to snag a JAE-700 recently for less than I've ever seen them. It's an older, heavier model without the side rails, and that has the older cage and front collet, but it will still work just fine (and the cage/collets can be updated for a fee). For what I paid, I'd be foolish to part with it unless I really needed money, and they're amazing stocks. But yeah, they're pricey new!

I jumped on the full metal chassis train when they became more available and had one of the first MDT Tac 21. It served it purpose well and was very sturdy and accurate. But that thing was heavy and cumbersome. Since then I’ve tried a few other complete chassis, but I’ve really come to prefer mini chassis. Manners, JAE etc. Asthetically I prefer the look and feel of an actual stock or hybrid over a complete metal chassis.

I've always liked a stock for it's feel and vibration dampening. We offer traditional stocks as well as blending the 2 with our MCS mini-chassis. Most people aren't aware of how modular stocks can be as well as most any rail or feature can be added to traditional stocks.

Let me know if you have any questions about the Manners stocks!

Yea, the price is steep on the chassis, but I just wanted to make sure there wasn't a performance thing I was missing out on. They are comfortable and they have a good weight to them. I do like the MDT chassis as well and they are a lot cheaper, but I see so many of them and I like to be a little different if I can be. I was expecting a couple of JAE but I was the only one at the match with it lol

I love JAE chassis's. Both my ELR and PRS rifles sit in JAE chassis's. I've been behind many stocks and chassis's, and the JAE's are the best in my opinion.

Amazing fit and finish, great ergonomics - easily the comfiest of any stock or chassis I've been behind, support from the manufacturer rocks and they make some great optional accessories (ARCA rail, bag rider, NV bridge, etc).

The only real downside is the price - but you are paying for the quality. The price probably puts a lot of people off. People also put too much stock in what the "pro's" use - and there are other companies out there that have more PRS shooters than JAE.

Yea, I just got the arca rail for mine and just like the chassis, very high quality. I have not got a bag rider yet because I am not sure if it is something I need at this point.

Nope, you won't see real performance differences once you get into the XLR, high end MDT, MPA, Manners, McMillan, and similar category of quality. They all have options to spec out their rifles with very similar features, including full Arca forends, adjustable cheek riser and LoP, etc. They can all be made to be super heavy or moderately lighter.

The biggest differences come down to minute things like comfort and personal preference. The JAE chassis can't accept different pistol grips like the MPA vertical one, but that's about the only real "performance" difference and it's still really just personal preference (I prefer my slightly angled and overmolded "squishy" Ergo grip on the XLR best, actually). One thing I do like about the JAE that all the others (besides stocks) lack is that it's not just bare metal on the outside, which means you don't freeze your fingers off carrying or holding the rifle on a chilly day.

Yea, the lack of actual "upgrades" was a concern, but like you, I have noticed that the only real upgrades that JAE does not offer if the grips. Everything else is customizable. I love the JAE and will probably never part with it, but again, it is a bit on the expensive side I think.
