Is a LA/SA multi caliber rifle possible with a Terminus Zeus?

It’s possible.

Received bolt yesterday. I verified headspace with go/no go and everything is perfect. Using accurate mag .308 LA magazine everything fed great.

Made some dummy rounds with Berger 130s to test out, no hang ups.

Took a video of feeding and extracting but I don’t know how to post it.

BUILD UPDATE.

Well the accumag .308 mag was working well until it didn’t. I started having feeding issues with it not picking up rounds, I adjusted feed lips and mag latch height but no luck getting it to run properly again.

I reached out to @HawkinsPrecision and asked about their hunter mag set up, they recommended a 30.06 (standard LA) magazine with their spacer kit. WORKS like a charm, excellent feeding with no hiccups so far. Also the bolt just runs much smoother

I love the flush look of the magazine, I obviously do not intend to hunt with this 20lb set up, but the magazine and DBM quality is great. I understand many shooters will be turned off by mag capacity, I was able to get 4 6.5 CM rounds comfortably plus 2 on my two round holder, that’s more than enough for me and my style of shooting. So if it fits you this is a great option.

So I guess it can truly be a one action set-up with multiple barrels, long and short action.

UPDATE.

this project got side tracked for some time but it’s back on.

I have confirmed reliable feeding with the accurate mag .308 long action magazine. At this time am waiting on the .308 bolt from Terminus to confirm headspace and extraction which I suspect should be fine.

I had also reached out to Hawkins regarding their hunter magazine system. They confirmed that a 30.06 magazine with one of their spacers could be used to run .308 based cartridges out of a LA. That would have been my back up plan.

It’s all good runs great. I would highly recommend the Hawkins hunting mag with spacer if you’re going with an M5 inlet, unless you can figure out something with a spacer with higher capacity. As stated above that doesn’t bother me as this in not a PRS oriented rifle. If you decide to go this route let me know I have a spare mag and .308 complete bolt that I can get rid of.
