Cheekrest Upgrade AI AXMC

I heard that the cheekiest can get slippery when it's hot and your face is sweaty. Wiebad makes a cheek rest pad and Victor makes a complete replacement unit.

Is the slippery cheek rest really a problem? If so, what is the best solution?

Simple solution is the Hoptic USA saddle blanket. 15 bucks and works well for me. I use them on my Cadex rifles also.

I originally just put mole skin on mine, but recently put on the pre-cut foam piece from Hoptic. super easy to put on and has been durable and comfortable for me so far. really pleased with it.

I use this on all my AI’s, for about ten years now. Works great. When it gets matted up with sweat and dirt, just scrub it with a brush and dish soap. I buy the 5x8 sheets.

I really like the Wiebad on my AX, as it gives a bit more cushion. I bought it before the Hoptic came out, otherwise I might have tried that since it's half the price as the Wiebad and is a thinner profile.

I’ve tried both the Hoptic and the Wiebad. I personally prefer the Hoptic. The only complaint I can think of for either is that the Wiebad covers the adjustment screw on top of the cheekrest, but that’s obviously pretty insignificant. If you pick which you like aesthetically more between these two, I don’t think you’ll be disappointed. They both do what they’re meant to really well.
