OK, I am going to be a dick here for a minute and bust some bubbles. The manufactures track shit that would just boggle your mind if you are not a stats kind of guy. Anyway, in this particular subject I got a couple things. Not sure about GM, but Ford tracks warranty repairs from a shit ton of angles. Their vehicles built in Mexico vs the ones built in USA ( I believe Fusion and F150 are/were built simultaneously in both places) the Mexico assembled vehicles (parts are made all over the world) had a much lower warranty repair rate.
While I support some Unions on some level, I attribute that to the Auto Unions thinking they are GODS.
Also many manufactures did cost analysis when looking at moving manufacturing to Mexico and doing the math even if the Mexicans fucked up 25% more than the USA counter parts (which has been proven they do not) it would be cheaper to manufacture in Mexico.
Again, Unions thinking they are GODS.
I want shit to be made in USA BUT the average person does not want to pay their neighbors labor rate.
Again as I stated above in a previous post, the customer is rarely the first thing any business thinks of. The bigger the business the worse that is.
