I stumbled on this documentary the other night and loved it. Chris Rock is great in it and the subject matter, Black hair fashion is fascinating. I had no idea a weave could cost between 1k and 4k dollars. Hilarious interviews with various entertainers about the importance of certain hair styles in the Black community. Interesting comments by Rev Al Sharpton about the U.S. Govt subsidizing weaves rather then food in some communities and his take on how the current hair styles are oppressive. A good watch if you have time. Rock does a good job presenting this subject as just a bit over the top.

I have to admit that I had no idea - zero about this. I bet it is funny to watch. I may have to actually get the DVD. I couldn't imagine have sex with a black woman and accidentally pulling her hair and whammo, off it comes

Re: Chris Rock's Good Hair

I will say this is a very interesting documentary.

I pay $10 for a haircut so it blew me away to see people who regularly pay SEVERAL THOUSAND dollars for hair.

Its well worth the watch.

I see that HBO is playing this right now. Very funny stuff, glad I am being validated on this one. I am sure some people were rolling their eyes a bit. haha.
