Citigroup Joins the "Upright Citizens Brigade," Oh Teh Noes

They are getting hammered pretty good on social media. They actually released a statement that it was not against the policy for customers to make firearm purchases. Most have replied with some sort of "fuck you"

I dont have a short memory.

I only have a short memory. What happened long ago doesn't matter much at this point, if only as a frame of reference. We only have the immediate past, the present, and the future, which is to say what they've just done, what they're doing, and what we're going to do about it. I ain't taking it with me, and I'm too old to change much at this point. Educators steeped in the civics lessons of a generation back or so don't reeducate any too damn well.

My children, hopefully, will know what to do, and if not mine, yours.

I could give a poo. I don't use credit cards, I use debit cards. When my bank starts cancelling gun sales, I'll probably stop by for a polite close and personal with the branch manager. No drama. But they just might lose no small change in assets.

Credit cards are a lot more secure than debit. I am sure most here pay their card off every month. With points and security being an issue the use of credit cards does not have the stigma it used to. If there is a fraudulent charge on your credit card the merchant has to prove you made the purchase. If the fradualent charge is on your debit card you have to prove you did not make the charge. Huge difference.

Citigroup can fuckoff.

Yep. Don't use them either.

Does it bother anyone else these companies are trying their own backdoor repeal of the Second Amendment? Granted, independent business can, within reason, decide how they want to do business but this lemming march is getting ridiculous.

Begs the question, why aren't they required to bake our cake?...

Who needs CITI when we have banks with high integrity like Bank of America. Riiiight.

My Citi card will go in the trash. as soon as I pay off a 0% interet loan.

For those of you who do use cards I haghly recommend Amex. Ive had them stick up for me against scammers several times and always found in my favor. Also the points add up quickly. Ive got an Amex Hilton Honors card with just shy of 600,000 points. Stayed in the Beverley Hilton for a week once for free.

Id avoid the debit. I have one but only use it for getting a bit of cash in an emergency or on a weekend.

There really needs to be a gun industry card.

Brownells points would be great.

Problem is Im guessing when I pull out my Brownells credit card the bakery wouldnt allow me to use it to buy my same sex wedding cake because I support the rights of people to be free and protect themselves from tyrranical govt.
