the 2.5-10x32 compact is actually a great hunting scope !
plenty of power going to 10
externally adjustable illumination
no problems in low light, have taken coyotes at night out to 380 yards with light
weighs 19 oz.

I hope we will be looking backwards at the scope market in 18 months asking, "why in the hell did it take until mid-year 2014 for the scope companies to figure out the value of locking knobs??????" </div></div>
i'll agree with the locking knob statement to an extent, i don't feel like i have to have that feature given a zero stop, but having it on adjustable windage knobs would be very handy,
