I had one behind me while driving at 80 mph. He followed me down the exit ramp and stopped me for rolling through the stop sign. I asked him WTF about the speeding. "Meh, you weren't zig zagging traffic to get ahead. Plus the stop sign is cheaper for you".

Both of my Harleys top out ~120mph, not sure if governed or just not enough power to beat the wind drag.

The new m8 motor is probably the best so far. But I still wish I had my 80 block head.
A 2010 96" Street Bob, a 2018 107" Street Glide. The Street Glide performs better in the twisties. Dragging floorboards happens.

Wavy freeway transition roads at high speed were not cool on the harley. Bmw’s were unshakable in the same places.

Well, the HD is designed for the 275 lb. driver with 250 lb passenger. While the BMW is designed as a motorcycle.
Dicing traffic was not its forte for sure. I have no special love for the beemer either but it was stable and smooth. Maintenance was completely ridiculous.
That must be where I fail. I'm 175# soaking wet with a pocket full of rocks. When I have a passenger, it's one of my daughters, that might weigh 100#.
They just haven't figured out how to make a patrol bike out of any of the super bikes yet.
Best balance I've found between the 600 supersport machines I raced in the early 2000’s, and a tourer, is the Ducati Multistrada. I have a 2013 pikes multi now. Absolute blast.

Lol, ya thats exactly how I got this one. They look goofy, but dang you can think it into a turn. Suspension electronically adjusts at both ends. Rear shock preload and dampening(even on the fly) can be adjusted to compensate for a passenger or luggage, which keeps it handling great.
Fastest bike I've been on was a Yamaha 700 fazer, phazer, nekid 4 cylinder sport bike. 147mph will get your attention when you get a crosswind.
Me too. Scooped up too many body parts at this point in my life, and I dont want any of my coworkers to have to scoop me or my girl up.
