Well, the duels are done, the 22 wrecked from the lead, 21 caught a piece of it. Good racing though.
22 team pulled their back up car out of the trailer, they are going to "work all day" swapping parts from the wrecked car to the back up car...hmmm. Trying to hide parts that have been/would get them caught cheating? If'n you ain't cheating' you ain't winning. They all cheat, just a matter of how far they push it before getting caught.
I was fortunate enough to see Red Farmer in the 1960's when he brought the "Alabama Boys" to the oval track in Prairieville, LA.... Not many left that remember those days.

I dont make the rules. fwiw, you’re complimenting nascar by comparing them to yuppie Audi commuters.
When everyone is forced to race basically the same car, what can be expected. It was fun when the manufacturers were really involved and building cars to compete. The highlight was the Talledega Fords vs. The Dodge Daytona’s and Plymouth Super Bees. Then there was the Ford Thunderbird of the 80’s and early 90’s.
But the music really died when Smoky left the game.

I am sort a watching it from time to time. Watched a preliminary demolition der,,,,I mean RACE yesterday. Here’s my thoughts on the current state of racing
NASCAR keeps trying to shoot it self in the foot with all these one design cars and aero rules which make races nothing more than an elongated demolition derby. I remember the days when The Original Richard Petty could actually win a race because he had the fastest car. And Awesome Bill from Dawsonville, they hit the right combination and showed the field up. And of course the master of masters Smokey.
They only thing I don’t miss and same for Formula 1 and Sports Cars, the deaths of the drivers.
So
Take away aero from Formula 1, go back to racing real sports cars and not these prebuilt strange prototypes that no one can relate to, and NASCAR, put Front Engined Corvettes, Front Engined Mustangs and front Engined Challengers on the track, give them some leeway, but keep the safety intact and let them race.
The man could build a car.

the beginning was awesome. nat'l anthem, american flags, flyovers, trump taking a lap. just so patriotic vs the nfl and esp nba garbage. that said, a f1 race and esp motocross is way more interesting for me.
That has totally been this years highlight!!!
Once Black Captain America (whose movie is cratering) said start your engines… I watched Band of Brothers..
