Suppressors Dead Air Odessa 9mm

At first I thought that was too good to be true (I'm new to NFA) for a 9mm can. Are there others that have such low dB ratings?
im pretty new also, my dead air ghost m is in the low 130's I believe. I think the TBAC .22 takedown is around 117-118. So to me the 120's for a 9mm would be awesome.

The kraken is supposed to be the quietest 9 can on the market. Have you ever heard one in person? I don't know anything about them but am interested in them.

Yes, I have one on a F3 with F4 pending. I can tell you aside from all the other ... people that don’t know a thing about Q or CGS or anyone just happened to come into the shop that day and were blown away by its performance. I mean, I just can’t say enough and certain people loyal to other companies will swear it was shot wet or ?? I can assure you, it was not shot wet, it is one heleva Suppressor. I have more then a Dozen pistol Suppressors alone from Rugged, B&T, SICO, Q, GA, YHM, AAC, I lost track, just got a NYX MOD 2 from EA. I don’t care who makes it as long as they perform in top of there class (YHM was had cheap to beat the crap out of, B&T was proprietary to bbl) CS is excellent (GA & B&T lack in this area, I won’t be purchasing from either again) use the best materials, as lightweight and short as possible while maintaining that leading suppression, I almost bought an OSS this last round of blowout previous model, I might get one eventually, out of all the pistol cans I have fired, it was noticeably quieter with 147gr. It takes a lot to impress me and it did just that. Nick from ZEV was there to Demo it for us.

I’m on the verge of placing an order, and I’m stuck between the Odessa 9 and the obsidian 9. I plan to use it for 22lr, pistol (m&p 9 comp 2.0), and 9 carbine . I dont plan to use it for 300 blk subs since I’m about a month or two (fingers crossed) away from picking up my .30 TB ultra 7. Anybody have any input between the two?

Awesome. I like my dead air ghost m, but definitely want another pistol suppressor. It will either Be the kraken or Odessa as of right now. I would like to see a comparison of the 2.

Just for reference, Rugged uses 165gr Hush for their advertised numbers. The Dead Air with the same ammo in full size config is 121.9. They're averaging within .5dB of each other, so they're probably pretty close. Just remember that all that testing wasn't done on the same day or same location or same host so it's hard to compare numbers one way or the other. Maybe someone will do a side by side soon.

What Paco said on ammo. Roughly, the difference between say 115gr 9mm and 165g 9mm is real, real close to the difference between 125gr .300Blk supers and 220gr .300blk subs. Always find out what ammo was used for testing. I just shot my reloaded 147grs over 3.8gr of Titegroup and then my 125gr reloads over 4.0 of Tightgroup and lemme tell ya, they sounded completely different, much like what I imagine the difference would be using 115gr and then 165gr bullets in the Odessa.
