Please send me an app with –

*Coldbore/Trasol engine.
*Kestrel & WeatherFLOW Bluetooth/Wifi, that stays on and live until I say otherwise, has max range with ability to handle multiple devices for use with live wind zones.
*Syncing/backup of rifles and all settings.
*All the extra features of StrelokPro, i.e: Multiple Targets, Reticle Holds, BC &/or MV Truing, Moving Target, Converters, Additional Data Page, User editable Table.
*All settings individually changeable between Imperial and Metric.
*The GPS/Map target feature from BallisticsARC.
*Full and complete bullet library.
*All data pages to be printable/emailable .
*Ability to share Rifle data, Target data and Environmental data with other users via email, WhatsApp etc. i.e: Send/receive file, click file, auto open and import into app.
*Bluetooth connection to a laser range finder. (Don’t know of a range finder that has this feature yet but it needs to start somewhere.)
*Clear and simple user interface.
*Fully supported with ongoing updates and community tech support via the Hide. (This one is a deal breaker!)

Thanks for listening, one cow shall be sacrificed now and one more upon launch.

Seriously, I would gladly pay $50+ for this.

Is the DTR Ballistic app in the iPhone app store? I don't see it....

https://ballisticxlr.com. Print your data, then it's always on and connected to your rangefinder through Meatspace using Meatlink and I offer full support, customization and all the stuff you're asking for. I might even make an app this year but I specialize in things that are meant to be printed because printed things don't take batteries. There's a free download version with range limited to 800m and almost no whizzbang features included. The full BallisticXLR version is laden with extra features. The BallisticPRS version is of most extra features that are in BallisticXLR but has full 2490m range capability and its own set of special features.

Lemme go point by point:

*Coldbore/Trasol... I doubt anyone here except David knows what that actually is. Math is math. 2 people using the same equation should always come up with the same answer. Users, on the other hand, bonehead things and engineers make things confusing to use. Those are the chief sources of error.
*Kestrel & WeatherFLOW Bluetooth/Wifi... This is incompletely and confusingly described and so cannot serve as a helpful specification. Restate plz.
*Syncing/backup... If you want to back up BallisticXLR or BallisticPRS, just make a copy of your spreadsheet. Save it where ever you like as long as you comply with the balance of the licensing terms.
*All the extra features of StrelokPro... I've got more special features than you can shake a stick at. If something isn't there, ask and I'll probably make it real quick.
*All settings ... changeable between Imperial and Metric. Yep. You could pick any single piece of data or block or the whole thing and quickly and easily alter it to any arbitrary standard you like.
*Full and complete bullet library. Got it. If you find something missing, report that and it gets updated on the next release and I find and return the data to you in the meantime.
*All data pages to be printable/emailable . BallisticXLR is in fact purpose designed for this exact use case.
*Ability to share Rifle data... Yeah, it's Excel. download file, open. Done. Share it on Google drive and multiple people can work on it simultaneously.
*Bluetooth connection to a laser range finder.... No. BallisticXLR and its kin use Meatlink 1.0 across Meatspace 1.0 for this sort of thing. It's massively more reliable and never runs out of batteries or gets jammed.
*Clear and simple user interface. It's designed to be simple, fast, easy to use and flexible. Nobody has ever said it's difficult to use.
*Fully supported with ongoing updates and community tech support via the Hide. (This one is a deal breaker!) Well, I'm a member here and two of the 3 other people involved in the creation of BallisticXLR are members here but tech support would come through me directly.

.
I think the OP was not talking about "math is math"...it's clear to me that the point raised was about the ballistics engine, making the "math is math" a moot point unless we're comparing apples to oranges. Strelok, JBM, AB, Shooter all run the same engine with some minor mods. On the other hand programs like CB and FFS are one of a kind and they have proven themselves thousand of times on the field why different math is force multiplier.

Always open minded and willing to try something new if it brings something to the efficiency or effectiveness of shooting with greater precision and accuracy. For the moment I will stick with Coldbore and await the outcomes of the DTR App

Correct me if I’m wrong but Trasol is the only one that uses the Coldbore engine, while all the other apps use the same engine? Trasol has been more accurate out of the box than any of the others and I’ve near tried them all at this stage.

The Bluetooth/Wifi point is about having the ability to connect more than one wind meter to the app so as to have them spread-out as far down range as the signal strength will allow. Then you could assign the different devices to different live wind zones along the bullet path. I understand that Bluetooth has a very limited range but Wifi can be made to work to a mile at line of sight depending on the strength of the transmitting device.

Thanks for taking the time to reply but honestly, I’m not interested in a desktop-based program. This is 2018, we have computers in our pockets now and I’d like to get the most out of this corporate tracking, listening and profiling device we call a phone.

Let me know when you have an app.

That's correct, Trasol uses CB engine and 99% of the other apps run some slight mod of the same engine, Point Mass (JBM, AB, Strelok, Shooter you name it)

PSA:

If you wish to tag any thread... an easier way to accomplish this, without having to actually post, is to hit the "Watch" button displayed just above the ad banner before the #1 post at the top of the thread. It will toggle into an "Unwatch" button for the individual thread, which you can then hit when you no longer want to follow the thread.

Just discovered this myself a few weeks ago. (y)
