I dont think a single person on this forum wants any LE killed, because most every person hates the type doing the killing more than LE. The problem is, they (LE) have aligned themselves with corruption, deceit, and policies in conflict with our constitution.
They have the same stigma as black people. Its reached a point where nobody cares what happens to them. 20 blacks killed in Chicago, shoulder shrug. Cop killed in car, shoulder shrug. They have reached the same level on our "give-o-shit" meter. Arguing for caring what happens is worthless, until they fix themselves. Its likely too far gone to fix, as neither left or right care. It's not a reputable career choice anymore.

I'm not in LE and never have been. But to pretend that they are all shit is just not correct. I have all sorts of vet buddies that became cops, and they are great people. Are there problems with the system? Of course. I've said it a few times here, but the shit you are describing is taking place in cities run by dems. This isn't the situation for 97% of geographical America. Condemning them all for the way they behave in NY or Baltimore is ridiculous. There are exceptions to every rule, and there are certainly good cops in Baltimore and bad cops in small town USA, but I won't throw the baby out with the bathwater. Your issues are largely with politicians, not cops. This attitude that is so pervasive here is like a self fulfilling prophecy. You demonize the cops and pursue them with criminal charges at every corner, and the good ones will and have quit. They will do something else to avoid the bullshit. When you do that, the vaccum is filled with unqualified shit heads. You've let the libs win. They created this situation and folks like you have jumped in with both feet. They told you not to trust the police and then filled your eyes with the 10 incidents a year that highlight the bad apples, and then made them enforce bad policies in these Democrat run cities and made sure everyone saw it. They have fulfilled the wishes of the far left with LE, and you guys didn't even realize that you were being lead like a horse to water.
Nah, it's not TV, it is not snippets. It's things I see with my own eyes in my own small town. It's in the neighboring large city, it's on the interstates, the news, the internet, the left swinging media, and the right swinging media. I see it in my in-laws who are LE, it's everywhere. Young cops, old cops, it's much larger than your 3% number.
The system is busted. Next time you encouter any LE, play the stare down game, report back.

And that was the weird thing. This co-worker was older than me and I am an old fart. So, sometimes, age does not bring wisdom. And, also, he did come from California. Which says a lot. I hate having to say that. I was born in California but we moved to Texas, where my mother was from, in 1974. I was 10. So, my accent is weird.
Most people that were born and raised here will ask "Where are you from?" Or, "You're not from here, are you?"

I had never condemned an entire group based on the actions of a significant portion of the group. However, the cities are a wholly different manner. Are there good cops in the cities who are vastly outnumbered by leftist stormtrooper wannabes eager to start waging war in the name of BLM? PLENTY. Many are here on this very forum, and who said they LEFT these departments because they are no longer putting up with the subversion of the Constitution.
That said, it is 99.99% certain that the person(s) who pulled the trigger that took the life of Deputy Ryan Clinkunbroomer is an utter psychopath who would have no qualms about killing a baby in a crib either and they need to be neutralized, with extreme prejudice before they get to kill again. There is a specific reason why the level of crime and utter barbarity we are seeing now has got to the levels they are now in the cities. Because a portion, and a rather large portion of those who holds the guns in the name of law did not choose to show the woke DAs and politicians there what 'might is right' means. If they did, men like US Marine Daniel Penny and US Army Sgt. Daniel Perry would not only be not charged with using appropriate force to neutralize active threats in their AOs, they would be given medals of recognition for removing dangerous scum from the streets.

Ohio cops tased and arrested a atf guy not long ago. I have a serious problem with le but im also good friends with too many to believe theyre all bad. The SS was the Nazi Personal Army (different from the regular army). So while you can cherry pick examples of summary executions, there were some 'soldiers' of those divisions who simply surrendered and went home. Yup concentration guards got shot/starved/tortured. Was it right? Nope. In a perfect world we would have properly tried them. And some circumstance of course would be given, espeically to prisoner, but also soldiers. However, you or anyone else in this country have not just the spent 9 months in constant combat. And during the war crimes trial, not everyone was given the death penalty.
We don't live in a perfect world. I figured that out long ago.

Simple logic fails. SS members were Nazis. Not all Nazis were SS. Concentration camp guards were SS, but not all SS were Concentration camp guards. You know for a fact every single one was guilty of a crime? Even if 99.99% were guilty out of 1 million, that leaves 100.
And it still leaves you using the SS as an example of how to act towards police...

I've worked with them side by side, probably know more about them than you do. I spent a summer topping trees, snaking logs with horses, and catching ties off the end of a sawmill with them in the Tennessee heat. I still buy my trusses from them a few times a month.
They wouldn't squash a grape in a fruit fight. They are pacifists, which is a mindset that only works if other people are ready to fight to keep you safe when the monsters come knocking.
