At all.
I don‘t care what you say about me, but it does bother me when I hear such broad and ignorant comments about my friends and fellow cops who were killed on duty.
The Uvalde cops were a bunch of pussies. I was a firearms instructor and active shooter trainer as well. When their supervisor told them to stand down they should have cuffed and hogtied tied him, taken his gun and radio, gone in and taken out the shooter.
Very simple, we killed one to save many. If you can’t do that without hesitation, then get out and do something else.
I have served with and trained with many cops across this great Country and know that during my 3 decades most of them were selfless, skilled and smart.
I always told people during my career that I was happy to see them carrying a firearm. Good guys with guns are a deterrent to criminals.
I am 70 years old but the oath I took to defend this Country against all enemies foreign and domestic has no end date. My wife is of the same perspective. We have spawned a family of 16 counting spouses and grandchildren who are patriots and selfless servants to this USA.
We say ban the ATF, defund the Federal Alphabets and get back to hiring real cops who are willing to sacrifice everything for the good citizens of this Country.
And, yes “More Guns Less Crime”
We live in a strange times for sure. It is high time that we band together and take our Country back.
This post could have simply given praise to the good guy with the gun who did the right thing without a generalization of what you think you know about most cops. And “think” is the operative word.
For the LEO posting in this thread, do you believe a criminal gov’t could exist and force its will onto the people if it had no armed men (police) to do so? Do you believe people would hand over the fruits of their labor to government to steal and fund shit no sane man agrees with if it weren’t for the guns you hold pointed at their heads? Do you think millions would have shut down their businesses at just the request of government officials during the covid tyranny if it weren’t backed by violence promised by LEO? Do you guys realize that you are the ones that empower it when you suit up? Do you not understand that your profession is what gives protection and power to the criminals in power. Do you realize that if men ever decided they had enough that you guys would be on the other end? Do you guys really believe the government you force is on the straight and narrow and has the best interest of the American people front and center?
I genuinely want to know your thoughts. Maybe you believe the government you serve is benevolent and elected and representative of the people. Who knows.

The problem is we are seeing more and more, instances where they "should of" but they didn't. I can't help but think, if one of them had called out "officer down" inside that building, they would have gone in without hesitation. They made a choice. And unfortunately for you and your brothers, that affects everyone in the line of work. Same as any action we see again, and again, and again...
People who have traditionally supported police are now less inclined to do so. It's not just liberals anymore. You have to ask yourself "why?". As much as y'all like to blame him, Obama didn't cause conservatives to hate the police. The problem is, it seems that police never want to take any ownership. It's always "armchair qb this, never done the job that". You even see it here, any notion of criticism of the police is termed "hating" or "disrespectful". Public servants SHOULD BE held accountable for their performance of their duties, and especially held accountable when they go against them. I've served in multiple federal roles. When that role was as a civilian federal worker, I bothered to take the time to hear peoples complaints of my station and agency. Was it often uneducated bullshit? Of course but I didn't expect blind allegiance or that their opinions didn't matter because "they haven't done the job." I wasn't overtly offended by their criticism either.
Too often we see police lives seeming to matter more than those they are supposedly serving. Why then do you expect the adoration from those same people to continue? What you may not realize, is that many of us want police to be the heroes they seem to think they are. Sure, working toys for tots is great, but not what the public is asking for. It seems like the amount of evil in the world is growing at an exponential rate, and most are now starting to see cops as a hindrance, at best, and a threat to liberty and livelihood at worst.
Having done the job is a valuable source of insight, but it can also make you unable to consider or value any other perspective. As I said before, optics is everything, and the optics on policing have taken a nosedive. You can either make excuses, or actually try to understand why, but that would require the willingness to accept responsibility (as a whole, not you personally).
Then there is no such thing I’m afraid.

The fact we rarely see bad cops go to jail on obvious abuse cases tells me all I need to know. I know exactly what the Wall of Blue means. It is real. And these are not unfounded generalizations. But yes, there are good cops. I was one of them.
Good ones leave or get ran out. They have to pack up and move their wife and two young boys (5 & 7) to a different state because they wouldn’t sit by while corrupt cops expected “thin blue line.” Meanwhile picking up side jobs to put food on the able and shoes on the kids feet. Because good cops don’t get paid leave I guess. They are then barely able to survive with their meager pension (not sure why cops are afraid of losing that) and SS.
Ask me how I know.
And the good cop I mention isn’t a young one. He’ll be 80 this year.
It's unbelievable how many cops have been gunned down in TN since they passed constitutional carry. The police association and the sheriff's association brought oodles of signatures that they would be gunned down in the streets if they passed constitutional carry.

You listed a lot of questions and I’m typing on an iPad, so this isn’t going to be as complete as what I would say to you over a glass of bourbon (you don’t drink WhiteClaw, do you?).
I know you see the government as tyrannical and cite many instances to justify your stance, mostly related to the way the Covid sham was handled in the last few years, correct? I’m not gonna dispute any of that because I didn’t witness any of it and didn’t enforce anything related to Covid. You know I’m not a cop.
As for your questions… I’ll address the last two.

Do I believe the govt is on the straight and narrow with Americans’ best interests in mind? In Washington, I don’t know what the fuck is going on over there but I don’t approve of much of it, if any. I think most of those people on the hill have been there so long they don’t know what living in America is like for the average citizen anymore. They’re out of touch with the People, for sure.
You, and a few others (one of whom I’m not sure I’ve ever seen a serious post from), seem to think the only honorable thing for LE to do is throw up our hands and walk away. Quit. I just can’t see it like that. It’s worth too much to just give up and go home. I mean, it seems silly to think you would respect me more if I puss’d out, handed it back over to the turds in Washington, and just went home without my balls.
There’s a whole lot I don’t like about the government. And, I’ve never looked at this like I work for them. They don’t own me and I can leave whenever I want. I’m just trying to do something good, but it’s getting more and more difficult to find any satisfaction in it.

I would say you are correct in that last line. I would also say that you could substitue "cops" into the space of "most supporters of Constitutional Carry." Like this: "Most cops just like to carry their guns, try new holsters, and talk on internet forums." At least the Constitutional Carry people don't expect to get paid for it.

If every state passed constitutional carry there wouldn't be a need for concealed carry (King's permit) permit and those numbers would skyrocket.

I don’t think any state should have to pass a Constitutional Carry law. Instead, they should do away with any currently imposed restrictions. I’m all for taking laws/regs/policy OFF the books, not passing new ones to allow for people to live in a manner the Constitution provided for in the first place.
