Hey shooters. I’m building a 223 DMR out of an AR laying around. I have never shot anything smaller than 308 at distance aside from rimfire. So I am looking for some scope recommendations. I’m looking at the PSTs as that’s what I have on my other rifles. However, my real question is magnification power. I have access to 750 yards easily. What power range would y’all run- 3-15 3-18 5-25? What are you running on your 223s?

I run a 4-16 PST on one of my long range 223s. It seems to fit the bill perfectly for me, but it depends greatly on the shooter.
Out to 750 you may want a little more magnification. Though I don't run mine past 600. Even then it's single loaded 80gr. Could probably make do with 77smk or 75eld.

Yeah I know 750 hits the limits of the cartridge but it’s fun to lob some to finish out the range session. I would say most work will be inside 600
The Bushnell DMR2 3.5-21x50 is a great scope for this task.

10x is enough, 14x is mo'better, just depends on what you like.
A Nightforce SHV in 3-10 or 4-14, IMO, is better any day that the Vortex, especially if you are dialing & expect repeatable RTZ.
An ACTAR is more & better of the same, if you can pay the fare.
