I made it , It's a pretty simple action . It has a full diameter bolt so I only had to cut the locking lugs in the front. Takes a rem 700 trigger. I'll post a link for more information

One of my most prized sidearms. Had it since 2003.

9 round - .44 (.451) caliber - cylinder

1 round - .20 gauge smoothbore central axis barrel. Can be loaded with a charge of buckshot, a "buck and ball" load of a .63 caliber paper patched ball with 3 buckshot balls sitting on top, or a single .63 caliber paper patched ball or conical slug.

I have a shoulder and belt holster for it and yes I carry it from time to time during hunting and backpacking trips. Nice and big square sight picture. Goes boom every time, never had a misfire. Ridiculously strong mainspring but it's perfectly fine, I am not doing quickdraw shots with this iron...

WW1 or WW2 might start up again. Or the Civil War. Grizzly bears on the way to my mailbox? Buffalo herds may overtake the Northeast, I wouldn’t want to be stuck with less than three rifles for that. They may introduce lions and rhinoceros to my neighborhood. I might have to fight some Zulus, who can tell? You can never be too prepared.

Fortunately, you are ready for the Zulu's!

Because, well, they are probably a bigger threat than the Rhino's right now.

Beautiful cartridges! I am willing to bet that the only you got those beauties... was by rolling them yourself!

I have had one of those on my "Acquire" list for a long time. Never knew anyone who owned one.

I remember back around the time I was new to the Hide, lots of you guys gave me so much shit for the flash hider on my 10/22. Got just as much shit from people in real life as well. Yeah, I know it's not an actual firearm and just a firearm accessory, but still. It looked cool so what can I say. I know it served no other function.

Parker Hale 270 Win, paid $200 for it. Most accurate rifle I own with my handloads. Got a few $2,000 type rifles that aren't as accurate as this gem. Won't sell this one as it's taken every deer/hog shot at. Scope is Zeiss 4 x 12 I think.

I'm toying with the idea of a 5.7x28 was just going through my receiver blanks this morning. what kind of groups can you get with it?

And FWIW, Henry Repeating Arms makes a 22 smoothbore lever action called a "Garden Gun".
When I was a wee lad back in the early 70's Dad rabbit hunted with an old codger that carried a Winchester model 36 9mm rimfire "shotgun".
Still have a shell he gave me.

That's where the cleaning kit is stored and it also serves as a bayonet attachment point.
On a Cetme its located atop the barrel atnd fits up in the end of the cocking tube.
For a bit of history, the small ring FR-7 entered service in the mid- late 50's when Spain was transitioning to the Cetme Modelo 58 B. At the time there wasnt yet enough Cetmes to completely re-equip and for training purposes, so the FR-7 filled the gap. It and the Cetme B were chambered for the less powerful 7.62x51 Cetme cartridge.
Later, in the mid 60's, Spain adopted the full power 7.62x51 NATO round and the upgraded Cetme Modelo 58 C rifle, the FR-8, also chambered in 7.62 NATO, replaced the FR-7 in the supplemental/training role until enough Cetme C's were on hand.
The FR-8 served well into the 80's with Police and Civil Guard units.

Winchester sold a smooth bore 22 also. I believe it was a model 73. My dad has one.

Last time I grouped, it was moa and better. Fairly light charge of 5.2g of Autocomp and a 40g Z/V/A max projectile. I have a 16 inch 1:14 twist barrel slinging them at a little over 2300fps. Could bump up closer to 6.0g and probably gain quite a few more fps, but that gets close to primer popping territory

That 9mm rimfire shotgun is likely a 9mm Flobert. Chiappa still makes one, and like Henry’s lever gun, they’re referred to as “garden guns.” Pretty neat little things, I’d love to have one.

As for myself, I don’t really have anything obscure anymore. At one point I had a few cool single shot rifles. One was an E. D. Brown M97D in .223AI that was gorgeous, and the other was a CZ BRNO Effect FS chambered in .243Win. A full stock, break open, single shot rifle that was absolutely gorgeous and delightfully lightweight. I really regret letting that one go!

I also had a Beretta 92 Compact L Type M that had the best DA/SA trigger I’ve ever felt in my life. Not entirely obscure either, but you don’t really see a lot of Type M models around anymore.

I SBR'd a 10/22 with a 4" titanium barrel and chopped a Butler Creek folding stock to fit it, modified the back with helicoil so I could insert a set screw to keep it nice and solid...

I think Ruger makes something similar to it now but as a handgun? Charger maybe?

Completely useless. But it was fun to fart around with.

have a matching numbers 33' OB k98

shoot it once every 2-3 years and i remember why

my eyes arent 25 anymore so the opens sights are blurry and with its metal butt it hurts lol

I have an older Taurus PT-99 9mm with no deccock, Copy of the Beretta 92. But has a frame mounted safety like a 1911 not up on the slide too high for your thumb. I won’t sell it simply because of that. I love the look and feel of a full size/metal beretta but hate that damn slide mount safety. I outshoot guns that cost 3x as much with it. It’s my forever 9.

I fell into one of these during a trade yesterday at a show. Neat/odd for sure
