Nope never wondered - did deep research into MK ultra - and similar programs/programming. It’s fairly easy to see the nice you know the pattern to look for . I’d go out on a limb , but not that far to say a vast majority are allowed/encouraged.

I think many of you are over analyzing this. It isn't more shootings, or more people. It is media reporting to push the gun control agenda. Every gang shootout becomes a mass shooting in the national headlines. Three days later the truth might get a short mention in local news. A criminal shoots up a classroom. We find out the liberals plead down his earlier felony to a misdemeanor then call for more gun control because he bought guns legally.
Nope, he's one of the special citizens who will be recognized for his bravery in coming forward.
I don't like gun control. Not even red flag laws that we already have. They are not working and never will. For example, the waste of sperm that shot the church in Sutherland Springs, Texas. The one that the media likes to ignore because another good guy with an AR-15 stopped him and saved lives.
He had been dishonorably discharged from the Air Force based on a domestic violence complaint. That being said, red flag laws allow someone who does not like you to have your guns seized. They only have to convince a judge that you are a danger to yourself and others. Which means lying. Yes, Virginia, people lie every day. Twice on Sundays for practice.
That is why we all must carry and there is no such thing as too much ammunition. I am a firm believer in capital punishment. Not because I think it will be a deterrent. That has already been proven. Plenty of people do bad things in spite of the death penalty. The reason for capital punishment is to remove that one danger. Make the world a better place, one less demon at a time. Hence the need for high capacity magazines.
Make no mistake, gun control advocates want to take away all of your guns and place you under the tyranny of "officials" with guns.

It seems to me that we have become a society where a significant percentage of folks simply don’t want to be responsible. No shame any more. No respect for life and others property. Errors/sins are committed and they blame everybody but themselves. Far too many in our society have little or very low standards. Theses issues I believe contribute to the question asked by the OP. YMMV.

Someone made an excellent point a while back in regard to the "mass shootings" especially the school related ones.
The idea that we organically have so many school shootings, but basically zero corporate assassinations, political assassination attempts (excluding the recent hits on two NJ republican politicians), etc. shows that there is something seriously off.
Not to say that the school shootings are any less serious than they are, but the stats are hard to ignore. The probability of it being 1000:1 in favor of some random kid (that conveniently was known by the FBI) blasting his classmates, but Joe PissedOff Worker never takes out his boss or a factory floor, is real fucking hard to believe.
Also, fuck Chris Cuomo and his rapist brother. The real tragedy here is that he doesn't have the balls to follow through with offing himself.

This Cuomo, like most progressives, liberals, snowflakes, etc. cannot control their emotions. They have never know discipline, ethos, etc. Their religion is those talking points echoed by the media. They worship racism, equity, trans, etc causes. They do not comprehend what their life will be like under the yoke of the socialist they worship. Fools. Yep, born in and spent the first part of my childhood in and around New Orleans. Shooting were and still are a frequent occurrence there. I can remember it was common on the weekends in New Orleans east to hear gun fire, sometimes automatic.
Whats changed is modern communication, puts it right in your face.
I remember when Colombine happened and everyone was freaking out. There were 3 shootings at different a schools in New Orleans that same week... crickets...

I think there are several reasons why. Some direct and some passive. Ultimately, the perfectionablists, inside and outside of our government, want them. They’re murderers that have always used the death of the innocent to advance their agenda, which almost always results in the death of many more innocents, and further profits and power for them.
15-20 years ago; here in TX people would smile to each other at the grocery stores. We would make jokes; ask how is everyone doing. Today; people walk away from each other; go in and run out… Everyone is intimidated.
Far from geographical, more prevalent here today also. I look at this behavior as more generational as a whole. But you are correct IMO, people far more reserved today.

You can’t change government without changing society. Society has to demand the change you want. They will keep helping shooters, encouraging shooters, and shooting until a plausibly deniable majority of Americans scream for gun reforms. Once we are disarmed, they’ll really start bullying.

What about the previous mass shooters? They shot their victims using bolt guns, hand guns, etc. Guns were always readily available. The type of gun does not dictate the type of murder. These people would have killed no matter what.

Your post implies that the type of gun has something to do with mass shootings. It does not. ARs have always been available to the public even during the AW ban. You could still buy AR and AK rifles and magazines over 10 rounds.
