DOGE finds Treasury Dept loses 1 Billion dollars a week to fraud and corruption: Deep State Judge blocks exposure

union greed along with executive greed are 2 big reasons why US industry was moved to China.
While true, people should also look at regulatory practices (EPA / OSHA / Building Code / Tax Code / ect.) as well as Banking as either incentives to offshore or barriers to do business here. Those should be viewed in conjunction with the extension of household credit, women's lib, 2 earner households, and the flattening of real wage (net of inflation); that were used to both deindustrialize and manipulate both the nature of our Econ (70% consumer spending / low manufactured goods) and the destruction of the family. These were coordinated efforts, in pursuit of a greater (globalist) goals. It was sold to trusting boomer suburbanites who had that fluoride stare and little understanding of the matter as a means of lifting all boats around the world and creating peace through prosperity.

right. there were many factors. over regulation being a big one. i was pointing out that union greed and corruption was a big part and 1 that isn't recognized. the unions demanding, often 2x non union pay was an issue. not to mention benefits at a value of 3x those of most ordinary workers. the inability to fire the very common union under performers also a problem. no sanction for doing shitty work, org crime and political corruption as well. the political action by unions is always to the benefit of the dims. the blather about the poor overworked abused working man coming from unions is just more propaganda. look at NEA for an example.
ALL gov employees at any level should be given the choice-leave the union in 1 week or be fired with loss of any benefits and pension.

So can you show us on the doll where the union chapped your ass? Lol

You folks would take those jobs if you were able.

Unfortunately after the union finds out you're a Republican, it only takes the company five or six tries to fire you.
Nope

And I aggressively work to keep the union out of my workplace.

Entitled liberal scum

Just an fyi for people that don't understand unions these days.

1. Absolutely anything your companies managment or engineering department fucks up, blame the union.

2. Over charges, graft, theft nonfunctional products and delays all get blamed on the union.

3. Everything the company does that should end up in a lawsuit is referred to the union for burial.

4. The workers get the best union the company can buy.

That is exactly the reality of the situation concerning unions.

Oh ya while we are at it I take great offense to being called entitled, or liberal.

I'll eat the scum remark since opinions vary.

Did you all read about NOAA crying about getting thinned out.
I'm sure whale migration routes will get paid for by the private sector. Lol

Considering they were going to limit the entirety of the easy cost to 10 knots for 7 months of the year they can go fuck themselves. It would have been cheaper to tag all 350 of the endangered Whales with a satellite tags and move the slow speed zones with them but that wouldn’t have given them enough control.

Considering that Wales move in groups called " shoals?" I think maybe we could get President Trump to rename that to schools.

That way the whales could learn something like how to get out of the way.

Have you ever been under water with boats moving around? I can here them a long way off.

Maybe in addition to satellite signal you add a radar and sonar warning " signal" .

NOAA is ultimately responsible for fishing regulations in federal waters. if you want to get a look at gov incompetence and corruption follow those for 15-20 years like i have. established limits always go to the commercial industry which is a long corrupt story. go back and look at red snapper regs over that time frame and who got what on grouper catches.
the fact that the recreational side generates more taxes, more economic activity than commercial is well know and documented. i can tell you where the benefits from open ocean fishing don't go. take a guess.

Or they could not make them deaf trying to put up wind farms. All the whales I’ve seen were pretty agile and easily able to avoid the boats. I’m pretty sure the majority of ones hit already had something wrong with them and there is documented cases of sonar messing with whales enough to cause permanent damage and death.

It’s funny when you read the reports about the wind farms they talk about how the wind farms themselves don’t affect the whales but zero mention of the ships surveying the bottom for several months prior to that.

How about stripers? No fishing in federal waters and states like NJ have a 2” slot with a 1 fish limit but the netters going for bunker can catch as many of whatever size as they want.

As I've stated before, majority of them in on the game, not just in the USA.

Australia/NZ/Canada have the same thing going on. It's not insider trading it's just your average politician has better luck than any Irishman and can't help having impeccable timing on these trades.

I'm not from the US but I think a lot of people would forego the $5000 payback from the government if it was put to the best use case possible, gold plated gallows and live stream the events. Probably be able to run 24/7 for many months and not get through the treasonous and corrupt.

Elections in Aus coming up, we have the choice out of two idiots that both believe Ukraine is weeks away from destroying Russia.

Australia and Canada need saving, maybe we can become the 51st and 52nd states of the US.

They can keep the $5k, and I'll do you one better, I'll send an extra $5k to fund it.

These federal workers are so out of touch with how everyone else lives and works. I'm in my first management role, leading a technical team. I ask each team member probably twice a week what they are working on. Then on Wednesday's I get an updated list of who has completed what, since last Wednesday, and who has what in progress (since last Wednesday).

On Wednesday I, along with my team, have a meeting with the CTO (my boss) wherein I give a status report on completed vs in progress work, and who is doing or has done what.

Every second Tuesday I have a meeting with my boss (CTO), the co-founder, COO and founder/CEO to explain what projects I have going and to give them whatever information they desire on the spot.

It perplexes me that these people are getting bent out shape over being asked how they have earned their kibble over the past week.

If supervision is relying on a written reply from workers about their job duty accomplishments, then the wrong caliber of people have been hired. Lazy workers can easily lay out a string of BS like a car salesman to justify their paycheck. If supervisors actually left the office to be around the workers, they would know exactly what is getting done.

The right kind of workers are self motivated, and don't need overlords whose main job is to keep watch over them. The right kind of workers only need guidance from supervision, not micromanaging.

In many organizations, the supervision and middle management are playing the same game as the frontline workers. It comes from the top.

That would be perfectly workable, if you assume that there are enough of these highly motivated workers to go around. (And that a great many of them want to work for the government. )

There are not.

I have two guys that if I don't ask them to do anything, will find their own things to do to keep themselves occupied for 9.5 hours a day.

I have another two guys that if I don't ask them to do anything, will plan vacations and watch YouTube all day.

In my case, as a highly technical manager, I sit with my team all day every day. I also have my own technical projects to work on.

My boss, who is also highly technical as a software engineer, sits two rows away with the rest of the Development staff.

The check-ins on what is completed vs what is in-flight is a way to manage resources, see who needs assistance, and manage deadlines and projects. Not knowing exactly what everyone is doing at any given moment and so needing updates, actually works against your micromanagement theory.

If you're offended by being asked to take 30 minutes once per week in a team meeting to talk about what we have done and what we are doing over the last 50 working hours, you're probably not the amazingly productive, highly motivated employee you think you are.

Yeah, this is normal. I work as a software developer, and as far back as I can remember, we have had either weekly or biweekly meetings where we each divulge what we are working on, what we've accomplished since the last meet. Then, we also submit a list of major accomplishments on a quarterly basis; it helps our management determine whether we are prioritizing our work in a manner that we've been tasked, and to some extent also serves us as the employee, to better indicate our worthiness of merit pay increases. In some instances it's actually gotten me an annual bonus check, though that is not something we actually have as a formal policy, but special circumstances gave my manager leverage to solicit one for me.

Exactly, this is exactly what we're doing.

As a manager, it also gives me a ready made stack of accomplishments at performance review time to say, "X absolutely deserves a raise and an increased bonus this year."

As an employee, it gives me a ready made stack of accomplishments to refer to when requesting more money and a larger bonus.

This kind of weekly and quarterly status update is the norm in any technical organization I've worked in or heard of.

This 30 minutes you speak of once a week could be better spent by a front line worker being productive for that 30 minutes.

Proper supervision would already know what the workers have accomplished without taking them away from productive activities for 30 minutes.

So there should never be any team meetings, check-ins, status updates or situation reports?

Please provide an example of a successful technical organization where this is the case so I can read more about their leadership and organizational systems.

I think it depends on the line of work. For some jobs, I agree it would be dumb...for instance a lead press operator running an Heidelberg press has no need for such meetings and it would be stupid to require a list of accomplishments. But for other jobs, it makes good sense.

I used to manufacturer " custom" one off development type aircraft parts, assemblies, wiring and electronics packages.

My boss would come and sometimes with engineering staff or bean counters and ask how long a new item would take to finish.

I got tired of it so I shut his ass up in front of the whole crowd one day.

I told them that if I could do estimates on new requirements at the cutting edge of aerospace modifications I would be all thier boss and make a shit load more money.

All of them left mad trying to see who could fire me first. With one exception being a vetran engineer.

He smiled and said that was not why he came there to my area.
I answered "yes" before he went on.

Yes, he says that's good was worried if it would work. Told him two plugs were wrong type, one set of wires were wrong size and mounting location could be a problem.

He's says diligence would be appreciated on my part and he would take care of the lightweights.

But evidently these days that's not good enough to hide employment of all the nepotism and dei hires so they bust up prints and wiring diagrams to hide that.

My last company and current company uses scrum. We have daily meetings what we did yesterday, what we will do today and if there are any issues. All tracked on live Jira system with tasks for next two weeks, descriptions and estimates of duration.

Problem is if management are idiots. Before I joined the team they were putting very simple tasks in the board and instead of 2-3 hours they always said 4 days. Project was 1.5y behind schedule when I joined!

Same damn thing our polititions were doing on any project. Just taken all the way down to the "floor level ".

They way over estimate due to lack of knowledge and expertise and if the "customer " agrees they pocket all the change and get a completion bonus.

Union workers didn't get completion bonuses, and most times zero recognition for expertise, or any personal hustle / efforts, that were mostly tied to personal pride since compensation was pre-determined by negotiations.

So Soros has been getting paid with our tax dollars to overthrow the US and destroy the economy? When is he/family going to be charged as enemies of the State. I am guessing our tax dollars paid for Black Lives Matter bullshit and bussing antagonists around for nefarious actions.
SMDH No wonder our country is so fucked up. There had been absolutely zero oversight.... for YEARS!
