I finished up<span style="text-decoration: underline">Building A Better Gunfighter[/b</span>] by Richard E Fairburn. The cover says,
<div class="ubbcode-block"><div class="ubbcode-header">Quote:</div><div class="ubbcode-body">Improving Marksmanship, Mechanics, and Mindset</div></div>
. I was severely disappointed in this book and would not recommend it. I read a lot of Fairburn's stuff on Policeone.com and he brings some good ideas to the table but this book falls short in several aspects. My primary disappointment was the Marksmanship chapter. The fundamentals of marksmanship were poorly explained to say the least. I like hearing the way other instructors define or explain the fundamentals but Mr.Fairburn only identifies the fundamentals and fails to even explain the majority of them.
The rest of the book covers various topics with some decent knowledge but in my opinion Mr. Fairburn fails to cover new ground or better explain the foundation of a "gunfighter".
