I can't find it now but someone posted an article about the fuel consumption of the generators used to make electricity for EV's. When you calculate the fuel consumption and EV miles between charges it was something like 5-6 miles per gallon. Any help is appreciated.

Gasoline CAN produce 36.6 kWh per gallon.
The Audi E-tron is advertised (so likely over estimated) to require 44kWh per 100 miles.
If you do the math...that translates to about 83 miles per gallon of gasoline.
But that's not the whole story, as you have alluded.
Obviously, it currently costs something less than $6.00 to get that gallon of gasoline to you.
What does it cost to make one of the batteries we are discussing? Actual cost not the advertised cost that omits the taxpayer funded subsidies. Add in the cost of the infrastructure to deliver that recharge and such...
