i got $20 that says if i fucked up and did 1 thing (like a domestic abuse call) law enforcement would be so far up my ass they'd be able to tell that i have another wisdom tooth that needs to be pulled.

With all due respect I don't see how assigning a couple of FBI agents to keep an eye on this kid 12 hours a day for a few months to build a case and keep this shooting from happening could possible cost that much. These FBI guys don't make that much money. Just some good ole survellience would have prevented this. Also local law enforcement could have reported or arrested this kid for domestic violence and got that reported to NICS to stop his firearm purchase. I'm sure he could have still figured out a way to get the same weapon, but it's something. He should have been under survellience period. Cost be damned.

Yep, and here's something I've been thinking about more and more these days. With just about all of the liberal greaseballs still in their positions of power today, what kind of crap have they been doing that we have absolutely no idea about ? And, how much of it continues to this day ? In that context, I cannot fathom why Trump hasn't taken a chainsaw to the FBI and the Department of "Justice" and shitcanned as many of the bad apples as possible. What, like they are now going to behave themselves and promise to never do those bad things again ? Scratchin' my head on that one.

Cops/Police/Agents can't be everywhere at once.
When a subject comes knocking this is where the investigation starts.

A large part of the problem lies in what a judge considers as "reasonable " grounds to grant a search warrant.

The FBI, and Local cops picked him up. I believe now he is in the neighboring counties Juvenile detention center. They did go to his home, and take possession of 47 firearms found in the home.
Quiet a drive for the feds, closest field office is 150 miles from me.

Local ISD, in every corner of the county needs to accept reality, and decide to place good guys with guns, to prevent bad guys with guns from shooting our children. Plenty of dads will volunteer, free of charge. Monthly training, and a friendly relationship with local law enforcement. Dads with rifles and pistols, done. I am one of those that would be more than happy to sign up for duty on a weekly basis. If you ask me the 1996 Telecommunications Act (that allowed big media) was intended to allow manipulation of weak minds. Get enough people brainwashed and they will let you lead them to slaughter.

The Founders would have had trouble even imagining a steam engine. So they built the Constitution to allow change. But the courts were packed and corrupted into finding words that were not there. If you want to make laws infringing on things like Gun rights you would have to change the Constitution. The Founders made that hard. It seems the courts have decided to make it easy by interpretation rather than Amendment.

I assume legally they were the mothers guns. Dad killed himself 10 years or so ago. Kid is 15, and I figure the guns came from his Dad, and Grandfather, both of whom are no longer on this side of the dirt. I know the kid, seemed like a decent kid despite his Dad, kinda quiet, but polite, no problems I know of in school. I think that one of the biggest problems with these kids, is that they don't have any mechanism to cope with shit when it doesn't go their way. So much entitlement........
