This conversation can only be an election away. If the Dems can get the House back then this has a fighting chance as the R's in the Senate are shaky at best. The Senate is made up of the elites, I use that term every loosely, that care more about their hold on power then they do the people of America and the Constitution. They are afraid of what can potentially come down and would vote to limit the ownership of "Assault Rifles." Just like in 1994 they were grandfathered in in order to weed them out in time. Elections have deep consequences.
