Gunsmithing Finally, Krieger makes love to Surgeon

I've had this Surgeon action for nearly a year now. It was for a .308 but had a change in direction and wanted a 7mm WSM so Surgeon was kind enough to swap out the unused bolt to the Magnum bolt face. A real nice bonus when it showed up was the M16 extractor that comes on the magnum bolts. So along comes the Krieger 7mm barrel and I never had time to do the chamber do to my real job getting in the way of the hobby. I decided to take a Sunday off and now they are one. Feels good. Now the other end gets a Fat Bastard muzzle break and I will be shooting next weekend.

Beautiful....hoping to reenact a similar scene in my shop in the near future.

On a side note, pretty good of Surgeon to swap you out on the bolt.

Yes, Surgeon was very good to deal with. I machine R&D parts for a living I was impressed with the quality of the action. Now if I can just come up with the funds for one of the 1581 XL actions. I would love to do one in .338 lapua.
