FLYING TO IRELAND WITH A BOLT GUN

Hi everyone,
I will be flying to Ireland for a Guardian match in September. Aer Lingus policy states that when flying with a rifle on Aer Lingus the gun must be completely dissasembled. Has anyone flown internationally with Aer Lingus with a rifle? Does removing the bolt / mag satisfy the requirement? Or have you experienced greater disassembly requirements? I called the airline, but all they did was read the official policy statement to me but would not clarify what disassembly meant. Unbolting the
stock, optic, and removing the trigger seems a bit much. I have flown domestically and the TSA was good with the bolt / mag out. Any help?

Thanks,
Bang
