Hello, I'm new to the Hide, but have been a regular on M14Forum for almost a year. I live in upstate South Carolina, and just recently started shooting bolt guns seriously a few months ago. I've been an M1A fanatic for about 8 years, but I wanted to compete at LR and the M1A, as great as it is, just isn't the platform to do that with. I plan on shooting F/TR this year, starting with club matches then hopefully at Butner as I progress. My rifle is an SPS Varmint 308 in a MCM adj. A5(the stock just arrived today) She's actually quite a shooter so far. I've only shot it out to 200 yards, but it's averaging under .5 MOA with handloads (5rd groups) and that's with the factory tupperware stock. I know my skill level and equipment will keep me from being competitive with the big boys, but I'm itching to have a go at it.

I've included a few pics of the rifle for eye candy

I've had a thing for that forest pattern for a while (probably since I saw a pic of an old USMC M40) I'm realy excited to have the stock. I was going to buy a bell and carlson, but kept running to issues, so when I called stocky's to order a manners T4A and they told me they had a MAC in stock I just said screw it, Im going for it. I haven't shot it yet, but it sure does feel great! I've wanted this stock (actually an M3A for an M1A) for a long time, and I'm stoked to have it.

thanks for the warm welcome fellas!

I should add one thing about that group. It was 6 rds at 200 yards, and is by far the best group I've ever shot with this rifle. It is by no means indicative of an average. That rifle and I usually hold a tick under .5 MOA at 200 which aint bad at all, but that group was well under .25 MOA! I want to say it was somewhere in the 3's.

Oh yeah, I left out my old truusty hunting rig. Steyr Mountain Rifle in 7mm-08 with my home made Aluma-HydeII GAP paint job. These really are great rifles!
