On scopes for cheap, why couldn't he try one of the Muellers? Like maybe the 8.5-25x50mm Eraticator? (Yes, that actually is how they spell it.) They're dirt cheap and the glass ain't bad.

The Mueller scopes are very good, the Tac 2 is a really good scope, but they are mil/moa
