Suppressors Form 4 wait time

Re: Form 4 wait time

Half, what was the glitch?
my check cashed early October. dunno pending. came through first week of June.
I had a glitch, too.
The "I promise I'm from the USA" form had to be resent. They said it was not in the packet. Bullcrap it wasn't in there. It cost me about 3 weeks. No big deal, I knew it would take forever.

The model of the can would not fit in the box provided, so he put the full model name in the " additional description " box. I guess it was not good enough, so they sent it back. I will have the same problem again in couple more months.

Do you know how much time is added on if there is an error on the form 4? My dealer messed up section 5 and included ffl information for the transferee (I'm not an ffl, they forget to remove info from the previous form 4).

I've heard anywhere from 1 week to 2 months is added on.

I'd like to see cash and carry, but that's not likely to happen soon.

A month is more reasonable, but again, I'm not the one to come up with this, but it's even MORE reasonable, if you already have ONE NFA item registered, it should take a simple phone call to NCIS/NFA branch and you walk with your new can/SBR/MG.

Agreed....

I'm more of a realist. And that will never happen with all the liberals running around in D.C

Really just depends on the examiner that you have. I would say it would add a couple weeks on at most to make the correction and send it back and let them check it out. Should not be a big deal.

The second issue was over trusts. It was returned due to being written somewhere in the trust that "... the assignment of property is to be dispersed to..." while his attached list of previously approved items was titled "schedule A". Dana's assitant informed that it can no longer be titled "schedule A", it has to be titled "the assignment of property" regardless of previous approved copies...
</div></div>

I just want to weigh in on this: spoon063 is correct. The Examiners have assistants that appear to be either law students or are right out of law school. I had my Form-4 kicked back because my trust stated that there was a Schedule A included, but I did not attach one because I had not had any NFA items in the trust at the time. They contacted my C3 I scanned my Schedule A to a PDF and emailed it, and my C3 emailed it to the examiner's assistant. Done deal. Received approval three business days later.

What you put in your trust has to be consistent throughout. If you state that you are attaching an "Assignment of Property" then your asset list must be titled "Assignment of Property". If you state that you're attaching a "Schedule A" then it must be titled "Schedule A". They are not requiring one or the other, rather that the documentation of assets is named appropriately as per the trust.

Yotehunter422 mine from late December have come in a few weeks ago and two had errors that had to be corrected. You should be getting them any time or check on them. PG

No offense bud, but legalizing and taxing marijuana will create a lot more income than streamlining the nfa process.

Form 1's go to Martinsburg, WV and take a few weeks.

Everything else goes to Atlanta and will take an eternity.

Re: Form 4 wait time

Problem with Atlanta is that they go on break every other 15 minutes for 30 minutes, their weaves get caught up in their computer keyboards (they have to call IT), and their 4 inch long fingernails don't allow them to type very fast.

So are the Assistants making the time to process Trust applications shorter (more people helping out), or longer (kicking back more applications)?

I called after a month (from my check being cashed) to verify if it went pending.... The lady said nope... Nothing yet.

I called a week later and was told it went pending two weeks prior.... No wonder why this is such a long process.
