Suppressors Form 4 wait time

Well, here I was talking trash about the process and low and behold 10 hours after making my comment my SOT called me to tell me my stamp came in.

Sent in paperwork: 2/25/13
Check cashed: 3/5/13
Pending: 4/25/13
2nd Pending: 8/18/13
Approved: Ann Felter - 12/16/13
Stamp in hand: 12/20/13

Does pickles still do va ? Never heard of Felter

2 Form 4s and NFA Trust sent February 15, 2013

AAC Titan QD .338

Surefire SOCOM556-RC 5.56

Just called, went pending April 5, 2013

Nine months quoted, so looks like Christmas presents!

I missed the schedule B, so I'm getting that signed and will send it in.

Stamps mailed on the 19th of December, and I picked up the suppressors this afternoon, Dec. 23.

Turns out the Schedule B thing wasn't a problem and the trust was approved as submitted.

Wooo Hooo! Merry Christmas everyone!

Tomorrow to the range I think...

Who covers MT? Does the state you live in effect how long it takes to process?
does it effect time...the timing is variable based on lots of factors and one of them is how fast the person works, how many forms they have, time off and I am sure a whole lot more. This is the last distribution that I have seen on examiners that is on ATF's website.

Nicole Dudash — IL, IN, OH, PA
Chris Farris — AK, CT, MA, ME, MI, NH, RI, VT
Ann Feltner — AZ, CA, NM, NV
Jason Frushour — CO, MT, ND, SD, UT, WI, WY
Sara Jones — LA, TX
Albert Lamberger — AL, FL, TN
Dana Pickles — DE, KY, MD, NC, NJ, NY, VA, WV
Suzanne Santamaria — GA, SC
William Shipman — AR, HI, IA, KS, MN, MO, MS, NE, OK
Sandra Snook —ID, OR, WA

Lamberger hasn't done any of mine from TN in 2 years. It has been Pickles until I've now seen Leonard on my last couple.

I am pretty sure Dana Pickles still does the DE, KY, MD, NC, NJ, NY, VA, WV area but I guess they cover each other in certain times; may be he is on Christmas leave...who knows. Ann Felter covers AZ, CA, NM, NV normally.

Dana Pickles is not on vacation and is doing Texas stamps. I got two eform 1s back from 9/19 yesterday that were signed by Dana.

So Slow

I'm assuming from your handle you're in Texas. If so, maybe I'll actually get my stamp before the year mark rolls around.

Clark,

I am waiting on my 30BA from last years December deal. I sent the paperwork in from Dury's around April 20th. Still waiting. Had I known the front end would have taken so long, I would have pursued from a Dealer's stock to save the first 4 months of waiting. The deal was excellent however I didn't realize the time from TBAC to actually being in San Antonio was going to be so long. The in stock method eliminates manufacture lead and one round of dealing with the ATF which is the biggest culprit by far.

Right with you man. This shit is ridiculous

I'd agree. I'm sure the reason ATF won't hire more people is because it's a deterrent by our gov that hates us owning suppressors.

Worst part of all this is Louisiana. Screwed me first for 5 months they took to approve it(prior to new law passes in august)
They are now letting ATF rape me. My total time will be about 1year 4 months by the time I get my stamp. 4 months left! Maybe I see the light?!?!

Same in Maryland. It took me 3 months to get a form 5 approved over a year ago. Now I have heard individuals are taking 4 to 5 months for state police approval. I'm not sure what the future holds for trusts but right now they are a significant time saver.

You got the projected date from an ATF employee or is that a guesstimate?

I called today to inquire on pending status and His exact words were "your suppressor appears to have went pending 12/19/2013 and will clear in September". Pretty short and sweet, he wasn't an asshole but he wasn't friendly either, he just strait and to the point. He didn't elaborate on times or if they will decrease or increase.

I'm just happy its not 14-15 months as I was quoted a few weeks back.

What bothers me the most I guess, is my dealer was apparently clueless at the end of September 13' of the eform route or ignored it and I got stuck waiting on the paper method. I would have my two cans in hand had I efiled my 4's and trust.

My hope is times will come down with the process getting streamlined ...I know I know, wishful thinking.

I just called to check to see when it went pending. She told me they had about 70,000 current applications in house and to expect 9 months from the pending date.

About time. The second pending was when they were giving them date out. I don't think they are doing it anymore. I haven't had a chance to shoot it yet but I am excited to compare it to my m42000. I saw the saker 762 came out. I might have to pick one of those up when they become available.

I assume they were closed yesterday for MLK day. They probably are not open today since they shut DC down due to the impending Snowpocolypse. You know the "polar vortex" is coming.. Run for your lives..

I guess my forms will be delayed another 2 weeks now because of it...

I received my cleared paperwork back in Mid-November, my check was cashed Feb. 15th 2013. Ive had 2 stamps and both took 8 months. Last time I called to check status they said they were doing away with the whole pending process and that stamps would be estimate at 15+ months for processing.

Sent ATF completely new packet (3rd time for same s/n) certified mail with money order directly too the examiner (addressed to him, as per his guidance). Signed for Nov 20, 2014. Examiner claims he has not seen it. Nothing pending. Waiting to find out if the MO has been cashed. Desk clerk told me 8-9 weeks after received it goes pending.
18 months and counting. FIASCO!!!
