Not 2 hours ago a cougar ran across the Arizona Trail just 70 yards from me while out mountain biking. Looked like a big healthy male. It went down a ravine then disappeared. I hadn't seen one in the wild yet up to this point. We're talking not 3 miles back from Sam's Club.

That's why I EDC a pistol and a decent sized fixed blade. Have done this ever since I saw the TV series "I was prey". Saw a runner not long after and warned him. I asked if he had something for protection, he didn't. Hope he's okay.
Dont know where you were but circa 1973 I was driving north on Lake Mary Rd about 15 miles south of Flagstaff. Came up over a slight rise and a huge black lion was in the middle of the road eating something. When he saw me he took one leap and was out of sight up a 6 ft bank. Beautiful animal.

I was in Flagstaff in 7th grade.

That's a cool story. I don't doubt you since we're not but a couple hours from other Panther sightings in southern AZ. People have even reported seeing them in more northern states too.

They sell kits for them in the UK... too. The AC Ace that the Cobra was based on was British.

Buddy of mine has one he built in the UK in the 1980's. He didn't have access to a giant 427, so he totally re-engineered the frame to take a V12 out of Jaguar XJS which was cheap and plentiful. Built the most beautiful header set ever. Hotrodded the motor. The thing is insane. You hit the throttle and it sounds like ripping fabric... Gorgeous! You can see it occasionally at car shows around Natick, Ma.

Here is exactly what it sounds like!

Or it could be that some goofus flipped the photo on his phone...

I'll go look up Cliff Clavin Photos now...

Sirhr

That's a pretty mean Jag!

Can you still hear the drums?
Drums to the left and the Grateful Dead to the right. I was there on a fire when Jerry died and the whole town went into mourning. In reality, it showed how much the band gave back to those who supported them.

In all honesty, I prefer jobs out there than jobs in the Bay Area. You know where you stand with the residents of the North State, for good or ill. And everyone acknowledges you.

Some of the best people I have ever known lived there. Some of worst sub-humans I have ever known lived there as well.

A whole lot of truth in that statement.

I worked for four years out of a community called Big Bend. There was as sticker on the sign that said “ For such a Small Town we have so many assholes”.

With the size of the town, the asshole stand out that much more. I still prefer a small town, because we look out for each other. Even the assholes.
