Do you think we have reached the end of good music? I haven’t heard anything decent in the last 25 years.

You mean you don't like Taylor, Beyonce or Lady Gaga (heavy sarcasm). Most of today's music including so-called country is pure unadulterated garbage. I stopped by the desk of a young engineer in our office and he was listening to some crap on Spotify. I mentioned to him he might want to list to Live at the Fillmore by the Allman Brothers. He came to my office the next day and told me he was blown away by it.

Superb musicians. I think today’s kids wanna play other people’s music instead of making their own. That’s why everything sounds the same .

And the man and his anthem...this one from the Last Waltz movie also as its just about the best recorded video production of this song.

There are many forms/styles of blues, and they are all interesting, (some you and I might not agree on). I heard Alvin Lee on the didio a long time ago living in Alaska. King Biscuit Power Hour. (that was the highlight of my weekly electronic entertainment, we only got one TV channel {RATNET-Rural Alaska Television Network} and that one was intermittent) 100% socialist and hippie activist. He discussed how his view of the world would have everyone on an even keel. Same housing, same meals, communal type living with specialist doing their thing and everyone sharing. You can fix tires all day because someone else is making bread from wheat grown by someone else. Communist.

It is still out there, but you really have to look for it. I think it is one good thing about the internet, it gives these people that the big record companies will not give the time of day to.

Check out Don's Tunes on youtube, it is a channel. Pretty good stuff mixed up in there, all blues and jazz.

This is my go to reloading music, I listen to it quite a bit. When working in the shop it is usually old country, or "vintage" rock, but the stuff you don't hear, the "B" sides with a "hit" tossed in there now and again.



Roughly 20 years ago I went in for some surgery to try to make my left arm work again. While sitting in the hospital and bored out of my mind I came across this guy. Looked like he was having fun and decided I would like to try to learn the guitar. I still can't play but I do pick at it. I am one of those people that can play notes, but it is not music. Go figure this song is about the guys ex.



There is still good music still being made, but it is not what is pushed on us. I have not turned on a radio in roughly 10 years.



I don't think there is a type of music I don't like BUT rap. I just can't stand modern rap.

Kris wrote "Sunday Morning Coming Down" but he was afraid to record it, at first because of the line "Lord, wishing I was stoned."

Johnny Cash said he would sing it and then it became a thing. Long time ago, stoned was a euphemism for being drunk.
