Good Tunes

My homeboys!! Mark & Don are from my hometown.

My mom & dad went to school with Mark Farner & Don Brewer, dad told me the 1st time he ever smoked weed was with Mark when he was 14. o_O

A story my aunt loves to tell: I was about 5 or 6, so '71-72, she took me to lunch at Big Boys by the Mall in Flint. Mark, Don, & Mel came in behind us and asked us to sit with them. The thing I remember most was my aunt freaking out over these 3 hippies buying us lunch. :ROFLMAO:

They are the first "big name" rock band I saw in 1970. The American Band album was gold colored. Pretty cool for that time period.

Wife and I saw them in '98 with my dad and stepmother. Before the show started my dad asked if I thought he should try and pass a note thru security to get us backstage. I said, "YES!!"

He didn't do it. :(

Dunno if I ever posted this before or not ???
Doesn't matter, it's good enough to be a repost, excellent song by an excellent guitarist, very under rated.

And another very under rated guitarist doing another excellent song....mad props for playing the exact model of guitar I roll with.

Just to clear things up, I hate with a passion country music, honestly.
I will always make allowances when the skill level is high enough.
I hate classical too....but Andres Segovia....damn.

ha,ha. i too really dislike country. like classical though. agree roy clark is extremely talented. segovia was beyond that. actually saw him live in about '68. am told malaguena is a very difficult piece to do well. have a vg version by richie valens. also charo and jose feliciano have good ones. always amazes me how much talent is really out there and around.

Keep posting. Music is therapeutic.

Something a bit more folksy for you stodgy types :)
Very tasty stuff tho, solid harmonies, good guitar (hey Nuno can seriously shred, look into it) and a well written song.
BTW, it shows 739 million views ? someone has watched more than once I bet.
