I drew a bull tag last year and in my haste to get my 450 Ultra done in time for the permit. I tossed the reamer, action, stock and barrel in a box and sent it to Benchmark Barrels in Arlington WA to just have them get it up and running and back to me in a hurry for the permit season. Shortly after I shot my bull with it I sent it off to Kampfeld Custom. I had it bedded, the base holes opened to 8/40, the bolt TI fluted, a hunter bolt knob installed and the caliber designated on the barrel. Karl does pristine work and is well worth the wait. Here are a few pictures of his finishing work on my Benchmark built 450/ .375 Ultra Magnum. I was just going to have it designated 450 Ultra Magnum but I had several PH's tell me it was a better idea to designate it 450/ .375 Ultra Magnum if I ever planned on taking it over seas. Due to the head stamp issue. They said as long as the deisgnation had .375 Ultra Mangum in it like the head stamp on the brass I use to form the 450's cases, I would be good to go.

I think we all found religion just from looking at it. I was thinking jesus when I got to the bullet pics and scrolled to see jesus as the first word replied. Nice hammer, bet it puts em down hard and fast.

What kind of recoil does she lay down? I've never actually seen a 450 before, but have alway's heard really good things about it. Do you reload? If so, what bullet do you use?
