Re: Got my Premier Heritage 5-25x56 Gen 2 XR in!!!
Finally got mine mounted. Overall, I love it. Glass is awesome. Reticle is awesome. Feel of the turrets is also awesome. All around, its very well designed.
A few <span style="font-weight: bold">minor</span> annoyances:
-The Butler Creek cap is one of the new Multi-Flex caps. I don't find these fit or function as well as the originals (A $10 fix...). Had tried them on another scope and it was the same. I also wish they would have put a BC cap on the rear as well, since that push button feature is convinient.
-The grove in the cap that holds the battery is too wide for a coin and the cap material is quite soft. I tired using a nickel to open it and it was starting to mar the material. The slot is possibly the right size for the battery (CR2032)... will see when I get a battery.
-The controls are huge! I like that... but, I haven't found an elegant way to mount both the level and ACI that doesn't block the view of the knobs. Anything mounted in front of the knobs is obscured. Maybe mounting the level on a picatinni ring cap is the ticket. Someone needs to make a a mount for the ACI that incorporates the level. A clamp style mount like the USO level has would be better than those set screws in the ACI mount that need to align with the picatinni ridges.
Awesome scope overall. Any suggestions for mounting the level and ACI?
