I spoke to Jerry at Premier about this. It is a possibility in the future. The problem with the regular Gen2 Mildot is the reticle is too thick at higher magnifications, it blocks too much of the target, so they would have to modify it.
The Gen2 XR is a great reticle. It just gets kind of small at the real low powers for people 45+ years old who havent gotten eye surgery or glasses yet! </div></div>
I was wondering why the reticle is designed the way that it is. What was the logic behind making the half mil marks smaller than the mil dots? Why were the shapes and locations of the holdover markings chosen? The half mill marks seem to dominate. When the mind is trained that the larger hash lines are mils, and it is the case with other scopes you own, there is more opportunity for mistakes to be made.
Asking because I'm interested in the scope and the reticle is the only thing that I don't really like about it. But. I'm open to possibility of it having some kind of advantage over similar designs. Shame they don't cover it in detail in that "getting the most" document...
