Suppressors Guesstimated trade/sale value for this XD stuff

Thinking about trading in my XD45, what should i expect to get for this stuff?

XD45 Service, less than 500rds, home stippled(looks good though), Complete XD gear package(holster,mag carrier, loader, ect).
3 Extra Mags
Comptac CTAC
Comptac Mag/light holder
Comptac Belt holster

I am looking to trade into a Glock 19, but I don't want to get screwed as this stuff new is pushing $850. Going to the gun shop in the a.m. to look around, but Ill have this stuff in the truck just in case.

I hear a guns trade in is about half of retail around here, what say you?

Ok, here is the low down on MY local fun shop. They mark up new guns 10% roughly over their cost. On a trade in ... money going to be used in the store... they will give 75% of what dealer cost is. If they are going to BUY it from you and give cash out they will only give 65%. They will pay 5 dollars per magazine over what comes with the package to start with. If factory comes with 3 mags and you have 4 they will give an extra 5 bucks. Holsters they will give 50% of dealer cost on. So take that for what its worth and you can do your own figures from there.

But in all honesty, the stippling job is going to hurt you in price, reguardless of how well it looks.

Glock 19's at my local is 489.99 plus tax ... out the door right around 525. That is for a standard 19 with stock plastic sights.

Thats the cheapest around here ..... some stores are over 525 before tax.

I know its a hit, but I would be happy to be within about $100-200 of a basic 19. It would be worth it in ammo to me. Around here 9mm is half of 45 and I have other 45s to feed. The XD just doesnt fit me very well. Damn gun show impulse buys...

Sell it on here and you will get a better $$$ percentage of what you will get trading it in. I would never trade it in and only get half of what it is worth......that doesn't make any sense at all. Especially for a gun that has some market b/c everyone and their dog have been buying XD's. MHO

I really dislike non-FTF firearms transactions or I would consider it. Selling it local is an option, Im just feeling things out.

BIG + for this!!! The way I figure things like this is, the gun is paid for, and it doesn't eat! I can afford to keep it until a better situation than a "deal" with a "dealer". Private sale, then buy what you want is the way to go!

Understandable, HOWEVER, you will make out A LOT better selling your accessories seperate. Either here or a more handgun oriented forum. You won't get near what you have into your gear especially with what you paid for for the comptac stuff. I'd sell that seperate and trade the gun if you couldnt sell it local.

Considering they were $420 with 4 mags included in the fall of '08, I wouldn't expect to see much more than $300-325 for the gun and mags. The rest of it you might as well sell here or elsewhere.

A smart dealer would be reluctant to buy a stippled gun at all.

So I have two people interested in buying localy. What should I ask for this?

Thinking about throwing in a set of RCBS 45ACP dies as I have 2 sets.

I just bought a new XD 4 months ago. I paid $550 with Night sights. All new XDs come with the holster and mags carrier now. Because of recent events you should be able to get about 600 w/ all your stuff (used). Try and sell it on gun broker, they make you ship to an FFL.

Personally I wouldn't go back to a Glock after having shot my XD for several months now. The XD trigger is tons better. Trade it for an XD in 9mm if your wanting a 9. IMHO. Good luck though.

Thanks, that is pretty much what I was thinking for a dollar amount. 9mm is not the only reason I want to switch.
