HA Life is GREAT

After waiting 8 months my Nordic Components 18" upper is due in Monday.
I sighted in the Sako Quad just set in a McMillan stock, Mike Rock 26" barrel, KMW bolt, DIP flat base, Night Force Ultralite medium rings, Brownells synthetic ring reducers and Leupold 3.5-10x50 EFR with M1 knob upgrade, today.
The whistle pigs are out and runing wild. Shot 100 rounds seated in 1 spot 10 yards to 125 yards.
Life is GREAT

Sako Quad with one of the group buy Rock Creek barrels fit and chambered by Chad Dixon of LongRifles Inc.
DIP 20 MOA scope base and DIP trigger guard assembly.
NightForce medium ultralite rings.
Brownells synthetic ring reducers.
Leupold 3.5-10x50 EFR scope with M1 knob upgrade and dot reticle.
McMillan stock (purchased off the Hide).

Haa...the targets are laying all over the desert

I haven't even shot at paper yet opting out for ground squirrels instead. A number of hits from 10 yards to about 125 (I forgot my LRF so just a guess).

The tripod upped my hit percentage a substantial amount from Saturday.

I did find that the 10 round magazines don't feed. I am going to start a new thread on where to have them adjusted to feed consistently.

Very nice! I did a very very light sanding to the front and rear inside of my 10 round mag. Fixed it instantly.

If you don't mind me asking, what's the advantage of having a 26" barrel on a 22LR?

It really holds steady in a wind and rides the bags well. I have the lighter, stock barrel so went with a barrel that is a closer match to my varmint rigs.

Just a bit of emery cloth to polish or were you removing material/burrs?
