Old S&W 29 8 3/8” before they neutered the hammer and went to stainless.

My uncle who taught me how to hunt/shoot bought it used in the 70’s from Ray O’herrons in Danville IL. He killed all kinds of stuff with it over the years.

Not sure where the grips came from. Have the presentation box but no grips.

He’s still around but decided I should have it. At some point he painted it (wtf?) then stripped it but you can still see some of it. I need to clean it up and maybe give it a polish.

Dad bought it for me when I was in HS(03 ish). He’s a deadbeat but a Colt fan, and somehow scraped up about $400 for it.

Same situation as the 29. No original grips. Is there a good source for factory wood grips or reproductions? I also think the MkIII would look nice with ivory or bright Osage orange.

Super crispy and light SA pull. Suprisingly accurate. It needs a good scrub and eventually a professional bluing.

I have a 915. The weirdest combination of the most atrocious double action trigger I've ever seen and one of the absolute best single action triggers I've ever seen.

The DA trigger on my 910 is better than the DA trigger on my SIG SP2022.

It either means you have an exceptional 910 or an SP2022 that really sucks.

My 915 is horrible compared to any DA I've ever had including five or six S&W revolvers, two CZ P-07s, a CZ 75BD, a CZ P-09, a CZ P-01, and a CZ Shadow 2.

My 2022 was my truck pistol for several years. It sits in a safe now, waiting for one of my older idiot kids to get responsible enough to gift it to them.

Swapped out the TLR-7A last night for a TLR-1. Other than having to 3d Print a key so it fit the Tisas Carry it went on just fine. I continue to be impressed with the Carry DS. Fit and finish are better than they have a right to be at the price point. Internals are quality machined parts and properly heat treated. Set the hooks to .020" (stock they were .030") and some light sear stoning and sear spring tuning and the trigger sits right at 3#'s with a clean break. 700 rounds so far with only 1 FTF and that was on my reloads. Added the home made grip tape until I get time to stipple the grips. No it's not a Staccato or a Bul but targets haven't been able to tell the difference yet .

I love the 320s and they work well. From the Legion to the Scorpion as well as the Wilson Combat and the what ever it is called brown and black job. They are all keepers in my book. The shocker for me? The P365. I do not like the P365 in general but the Legion just hits different. Might be the grip being a tad beefier and longer, it might be the metal frame, or it might be the weight on the nose from the addition of the compensator but it changed my opinion for sure! It is the best feeling, best pointing 365 I've ever held including the Macro.

Bought the M18 due to being USMC gay and it felt good in hand…..

Used it in a couple classes and it did everything it should. It is what talked me into getting the AXG.

Still though just another tool.

It does not have that certain “je nes sais quoi” of a living, breathing gun with soul……

Always wanted a 2011, but hated the idea of expensive and problematic magazines. Along came the platypus. It was customizable which i loved as i wanted it to be tan and look different than all other factory pistols. I wanted to do some basic pistol matches. Also wanted a home for a ir/white laser/illuminator and suppressor host for night time critter removal. Forgot one! Went to see my little brother on memorial day and they had a tornado roll through. Him, his family, and his house were unscathed but a neighbor wasn't so lucky (tree in the master bathroom) and was selling a pistol he had just picked up and needed some cash (Which baffels me as all the houses in the neighborhood are in the $1M range). Anyways! Showed it to me and was asking a grand and I said sold! It appears to be a sportsmans warehouse exclusive P320 AXG with the Romeo-X Pro and the Foxtrot 2R light (and a Blackpoint holster). Pretty sure it is (was) unfired. Looks a lot like the pistol @2011Nomad posted but with a two tone color scheme. Not nearly as cool but it’s a shooter!

Anyone else here have any of the CZ PO7 or PO9 MHS pistols that were submitted to the Army's Modular Handgun System contract (which Sig ended up winning)? A PO9 MHS sold on gunbroker earlier this year or last year for crazy money, something like $8k+! One of these PO9 MHS pistols from my collection is now in Reed Knight's collection, it was one of the few US military (trials) handguns that he didn't have (made the trade through a KAC dealer friend a few years ago). These photos are from 2016, and most of them are still in my safe, but I have let a few go over the years.

Here's the production number for these CZ MHS pistols:

PO9 MHS 9mm - 50 made
PO9 MHS 40S&W - 50 made
PO7 MHS 9mm - 5 made
PO7 MHS 40S&W - 5 made

So, the 5 PO9 MHS pistols in 40S&W represent 10% of the total that were made for the contract and the 2 PO7 MHS pistols in 40S&W represent 50% that were made for the contract! If you look at the labels, some of these boxes haven't been opened since leaving the factory! For whatever reason, CZ decided to pull their MHS pistols from the trials, and none of their MHS pistols were used in testing, so all of these pistols are in new condition.

If you ever come across one of these very rare CZ MHS pistols, buy it! This is one of those guns that no one really thinks about, but will bring very large amounts when listed at auction. I've actually never seen any of the 9mm CZ MHS pistols for sale, I missed out on all of those. And I've only seen the 1 CZ PO9 MHS actually come up for sale on gunbroker in the past 5+ years. These are really interesting pistols, and I actually used one of the PO7 MHS 40S&W pistols as an EDC gun (stopped carrying it after I saw what the much more common PO9 MHS sold for on Gunbroker, lol). The only downside to these pistols is the DAO trigger, but it's honestly not that bad for a DAO (I've shot worse triggers).

I was looking through some of my old photos and thought that you guys might like to see these pistols. Please let me know if you have any questions about them, or would like to see more photos of them.

Been wanting one for years, just never got around to getting a 5.7x28 pistol. Walked into the LGS after work, and they had one, and a Holosun 507K in stock, and S&W has a $75 rebate going on right now, so, figured what the hell…

Also, I like how my Mask HD fits perfectly in one of the extra mag cutouts, and my Holosun tool and cleaning cloth fit in one of the extra slots, for an all-inclusive carry case. Thinking I might cut out a few slots to hold a couple boxes of ammo, too…

Oh I love me some CZ's but all of mine are metal framed one way or another. Still loving all of your pics though and it's hard to go wrong with CZ's for that matter.

I missed my AXG Scorpion so I replaced it. The difference? 1 mag instead of three, a plain Sig case, doesn’t say “Sig Custom Works”, and no challenge coin. Not sure all that is worth the premium anyways. More money for the Reserve series P229 X-Five that is launching soon!

My SIG SP2022's DA/SA trigger pulls are good and smooth. My 910's DA/SA trigger pulls are better.

In my 50+ years of shooting, hunting, instructing, 'No'. I cut my teeth on a 'tuned and polished' S&W Midel 19 that would put a Python to shame. Then I fell in love with an S&W Model 52 with a 2.5# SA trigger pull. To know why I say what I do about 3rd Gen S&Ws and SIGs, shoot a 1st Gen S&W Model 39/59. Then shoot a SIG P-series, and a 3rd Gen S&W. Then, for fun, try a Walther P99 in SA mode.

I can't really remember what the issue was, I think it had something to do with the length of threaded barrel and the silencers not seating correctly (one of you guys here probably knows this stuff better than me). Is that still an issue or something that needs to be taken into account when using a silencer on this specific pistol?

Never heard anything bad about the S&W 5.7 so that's new to me. But, I did notice the threads are very (excessively) long on them. My TBAC 22TD cans won't fit without a spacer. It hits the first baffle before it hits the shoulder, so I can't run them on it right now. The Mask HD fits fine with enough clearance to bump all the way back against the shoulder and seat properly.
