Suppressors Hanshon Brothers Comparative Testing Q Full Nelson & CGS Group Hyperion

I have to say that the way you are coming off in all this doesn't help anyone's cause either. You may be the tippity top bestest of the best person, but your posts in this and the other thread don't show that to complete outsiders with no skin in the game. You might do well to heed some of your own advice.

Just sayin...

Just saying, I’ve shot both cans, given an unbiased view of both, and helped expose a shill. Just saying you’re nitpicking on the sidelines. Just saying I’m the one trying to push folks back to not getting so personal. Also, regarding your lamenting...click ignore and be done.

While folks were busy extolling the merits of a wonder can not on the market yet that hardly anyone has seen, let alone shot, a dark horse entered the race. I was very impressed with this can and might be buying one for my 8542 brother that needs a good can. I have no connection to any dealer nor company other than Hansohn being a personal friend whom I met through my much missed friend Pat Rogers. I’m in this video and I’d never even heard of the Vox until the day I shot it.

I wasn't lamenting at all. I was pointing something out to you that you may have missed in your enthusiastic attacking of the so-called shill. But you can't see what you won't see, so it matters not to me. I'll ignore nobody. The show is just so much fun. Carry on!

By the way, in case you still don't get it, your view as written in this thread and the other thread comes off as anything but unbiased. That's what I was trying to nicely point out to you. But since you insist on being a dick and cannot get it, I guess that I had to come out and say it.

I was just an interested reader, enjoying this shit show. You are so busy attacking anyone that doesn't immediately bow down and accept your personal word as gospel, that you cannot see your personal biases coming out loud and clear.

Well, we will have to disagree. Especially considering a recent purchase of mine that shows that I’m not biased against a certain company, but I’m out of patience. Will not be seeing your comments.

That is a very interesting can there, any idea when it is going to be able to be purchased & who else will carry it?

Thanks for the testing vids, those are great.

If I could trouble you to do some at the ear testing on ARs, that would be even better. A Q can vs. CGS vs. Vox vs. Omega would be a pretty awesome showdown.

My name is Todd Huey I am part of Silencer Shop Authority. I'm also a huge Q fan because they work very well. I have not tested the Hyperion so I have no input on it , but I do have access to every silencer in the Silencer Shop inventory and use most of them on a regular basis. Twice I have been able to meter the Q full Nelson once with Bowers group and their meter. Second time with Silencer Shop and two of their meters. Both times I used my 16" LWRCI REPR MK2 .308 with factory Hornady 165 gr SST ammo. On Bowers groups meter It averaged 136.4db. Different day same rifle same ammo on Silencer Shops two meters it averaged 136.6 db. Never hit 140-139 in 15 shots on a 16" piston AR10. Again I work with Silencer shop, I'm not employed or paid by Q but I am a huge fan because the tone at least to my ear sounds better than anything else out there right now. Just my 2 cents take it for what its worth.

Hey Todd I'm one of the guys that recorded the video with Hansohn Brothers. This video is of the Q on a 6.5. Our video of the Q on the 308 it avg 135.5 on a 5 shot group. I agree the Full Nelson sounds great to our ear. The number's on the 6.5 that day shot the same two times. I have asked that anyone who has metered it and gotten different results to contact myself or Hansohn as to what ammo to use. We was using factory hornady eld.

Hi Todd. On .308 our numbers are close to yours. On 6.5CM was where the numbers were higher. I do intend to test the Full Nelson again on 6.5CM as I cannot explain why it metered so high. All other silencers tested that day used the same batch of factory Hornady 143 grain ELD-X however and didn’t meter as loud as the Full Nelson.
