Since this seems like the right place to ask: what kind of accuracy capability do you guys see with the 75/77gr stuff at ~750yrds and then at 1000yrds..? Is sub-MOA unrealistic on calm days at those distances?
I'm not interested in anything heavier than the 75/77gr stuff in 223 since if I decide to build one then the plan will be to buy a shitload of components right from the jump and shoot the crap out of it for a while, so I'm going to want to use it to shoot Tactical division in matches (which means nothing heavier than 77gr).
Running numbers quick and dirty, it looks like it shouldn't be too hard to keep a 75gr ELD-M supersonic until ~1000yrds? I'd kind of expect it to go to shit beyond 1000 when its out of gas with a low BC and becoming transonic... but I've heard the 223 PRS Tactical division guns shoot great at 600.. do they really fall off in performance that fast when pushed past that (as compared to the 6mm's)?
