High end coolers?

Only reason I have a Yeti, Is because I found one on the side of the road. I bought a couple of medium and small versions of the Walmart brand, and they work GREAT. We full time in our RV about 4 months of the year, and these are a life saver. The yeti stays home, anyway. It was an older model, not as thick-walled. Should let the other guy who stopped take it. We flipped a coin. His coin, I won.

Got me one of those small 12 volt "fridges/coolers" when we took the Honda Pilot cross country.

Fit nicely between the kids feet in the back and kept things nicely refrigerated.

Unsure how it would keep ice but seeing as it's insulated just as well as your average Igloo and has a chiller compressor to boot would probably work fine.

For bigger backyard parties we have a similar "drum" fridge for drinks, 120v AC, keeps the beverages cool.

Not sure what you had but the ARB and similar are not the <20* below ambient temps. They will freeze water bottles in under an hour in 90* heat. That's what I usually do. I keep the bottom full of bottled water and keep it at a temp which will barely freeze/slush those and keep everything else on top and in the 'dairy' compartment. I then use a much smaller cooler w/ those near frozen water bottles as ice. Replenish the ARB fridge/freezer and repeat. NOT cheap initially but well worth it for us. I have yet to regret spending the $750. I don't even think about buying ice or saving ice up from the house freezer. You can plug it in at ambient temps., put some stuff in there, and it will be cold/frozen in under an hour. No ice maintenance, no cooler water, if something explodes you can just remove all of it, wipe it out and put it all back w/o worrying about losing your ice. You don't have to worry about how often you open it, etc. A really nice, although expensive, solution to a cooler.

They don't like it relative to the competition. I love mine so can only assume the others are outstanding as well.

I have the RTIC 65 and its nice. It is heavy but te RTIC 65 has a higher capacity than the YETI 65 and it costs less.
