Rifle Scopes High Magnification Scope Ideas for .50BMG and .375CT for XLR shooting.

"A friend mentioned this thread and wondered why no one had suggested the Ivey RT-150 ring and base set (Scope Rings). It provides 150 MOA - that's IN ADDITION TO whatever is in the scope. While their website lists 30, 34, and 35mm versions, he advised they built him one for his Valdada Terminator (40mm tube) and had made a small batch of them at that time (less than 3 months ago). [He also has March 8-80 tactical.] Some reason the Ivey was not mentioned?"

Thanks Rob01, yeah, the Beast has the most elevation but it has a lot of windage too. Same with the SN9 I believe.

Not sure if that was the Vortex he mentioned or not. Perhaps it was, still, it wasn't bad if it was just barely ran out at 3800y! That's a long way! But if I go 5-25x, I'll get the Beast most likely. If I go big magnification, I'll go with the SN9, I just don't really have a choice it seems.

I have a mint SN 9 that I want to sell pm me if your interested. Cheers pc3

Yeah, I'm kind of holding off on the Beast for now. I'm on the list, no word on when it will be out. I don't need it really until this winter, and I can actually wait until I get the suppressor for it, which would be next summer likely. I'm okay with that, really, since I have to travel over passes to get to where I want to shoot. And then it would cold as balls when I got there.

I also have to get loading stuff for ammo that large, components, etc., also targets capable of handling the abuse, so I have some other stuff yet to get before I can really shoot it.

I would look at a composite approach to this problem , IF I had the money , I would look at using a Hubble Heny the one with the 72mm front lens , have a custom external adjustable mount , with 10 mil steps , when dialling you will do 10 mil course steps & fine dialling on the scope its self .
It solves all your Elevation , and keeps the view more thru the center of the lens reguardless of the amount of E set .
Only down side would be that its a SFP reticle scope .
